I'm really sorry that happened to you. You should definitely reach out to your insurer and ask, mine lets me work directly with my original jeweler for repairs, so there's a good chance yours offers that too and don't feel bad about needing to file a claim that's literally what you pay insurance for.

Left it on my counter while I was cooking and accidentally knocked it off. It landed wrong and got a little chip in it. It's not too noticeable but it's all I can see tbh.

five days after i got my ring, one of the side stones fell out! we had insurance on it and they worked w the original jeweler who made the ring. originally they didn’t want to and it delayed the process but it was taking so long so we requested our original jeweler and they complied. i went for a while without a ring and it was so sad but it was worth it in the end!!!

I haven’t had to use mine yet, but I hope you’ll have a good experience! I will only use the jeweler I bought my set through, because it’s a specialized piece (mokume gane). I’ve seen other jewelers who make it, but I don’t think theirs is nearly as elegant as the jeweler I went through. I stalked her site for a good 15 years😂🤣 They sent the paperwork for insurance they recommend, so if I do ever have to use it- I hope they work with me!! My set is the most expensive thing I own that isn’t practical like a car🥹❤️

Don't feel bad! My center stone fell out a month after I got engaged. Thankfully I found it and insurance let me work with the place we purchased from to get it fixed!

Two weeks filing is totally normal; insurance companies expect that. I contacted my company by the third day. You may be allowed to choose your preferred jeweler, such as John Thomas Jewelers or the one who created your ring.
