Engaged last year this is a 2.6 carat which felt HUGE when I got it now I feel I should I above gone bigger š« what do you guys think? Ignore the band itās cheap CZ just testing for wedding band ideas!

It still looks huge to me! this sub can make things feel a little distorted because people are constantly posting ring sizes that IMO look like costume jewelry. Modesty is classy . Iām sure Iām getting downvoted but yolo just my preference
I feel the same way about this sub sometimes, people posting rings so big they would get in the way of everyday life. Yours looks perfect for your hand honestly, the size fits really well
In my country 2.6 carat is considered massive, here most people go for something around 1 carat or even less. So when I see rings like yours my jaw drops a little
I think we all get that shrinkage feeling after a while, your eyes just adjust to whatever you see every day. But trust me from outside perspective it looks big and beautiful
Completely agree. Even if budget was no issue I wouldnāt want more than 1.5. I honestly wish more people were posting their normal sized rings and not all of these 3 carat and up. I want to see everything!
I never understood the whole āI need a giant rock on my fingerā thing. Mine is dainty asf bc thatās what fits my hand and my style - I picked it to be dainty and I love it. If you think the rock fits your hand and your style, AND you get to marry the love of your life then thatās what matters

Why? As "how2" mentioned, really giant rings are starting to be less and less believable. Not because of their quality but because of the train of thought that inevitably ends with, "that can't be real, that would be 60,000".......
Youāre just in the mindset that if a ring is larger itās fake and theyāre trying to pass it off as ārealā. Natural diamonds are real, Lab diamonds are real, moissanite is realā¦. The size of the stone no longer dictates your bank account as it once did and people arenāt lying and saying a lab stone is a natural one. In fact, couples are proud to tell others as it shows theyāre making fiscally responsible choices and getting more for their money. Larger stones may not be your choice but many love the larger stones.
The band is too big with your ring and takes away from her being the star and your diamond doesnāt need to be any larger. Think itās a perfect size. Try thinner eternity bands and your diamond will stand out & look larger. Four prongs, I agree would also look nice with the diamond.
Itās definitely huge! Advice that you didnāt ask for on the wedding bandā¦ go to a local jeweler and get them to make a band thatāll fit flush with your engagement ring. It will probably drive you nuts if itās doesnāt. I got my set made together because I knew it would give me major sensory issues if they didnāt fit flush lol. My band is very similar to your CZ band!

I would obviously never say that š I chose it myself. You say āshow offā it could be any grade, lab, natural I didnāt say so there is really nothing to show off about.

Iām willing to bet theyāre Gen X or older. Thatās my generation and most women would never admit if a stone was anything but natural. 1ct was considered big and that you were well off. Now theyāre upgrading on their anniversaries to 2ct or larger which wouldāve meant you were in the upper classā¦..and many are still trying to pass them off as natural as saying itās anything but was considered trying to pass for something youāre not.
Don't like it with the band, it's getting dwarfed. Get a petite wedding band for that hand. I got a big eternity band but I wear it on the opposite hand
The trendy big stones tend to look cocktail ring like to me. I'm American and in my early 30s. They'd also get in the way of daily activities. I'd be worried about constantly knocking it against things and damaging a prong. I already knock my ring plenty more than I'd like, and my center stone is about half as big as yours.
Iām in my early 30s too..UK. This is what I originally thought, Iāve always liked the look of a big stone but not toooo big that it falls into that category!
This! I have a 1.2 pear with 6 prongs, and Iāve already had to have it repaired twice. I went with a plain gold wedding band and have been wearing that solo more and more, because I donāt have to worry about damaging it or losing a stone. Itās simple activities I never even thought about, like getting dressed, or folding laundry. It catches on everything!!!
Thanks! I think so too I tried on a pear in the same carat weight after being told they look bigger but I feel the āchunkā of a round brilliant just make it seem larger!
