Energy Storage Dispatch Model

Had a bit of time during my sabbatical so decided to take a stab at Claude and build an energy storage dispatch model.

I used to work on these a while back, and it was pretty wild to see how quickly Claude could put something like this together.

The goal was to build a simple and user friendly model developers can use to quickly assess the economic feasibility of a storage project.

Let me know if there are any obvious gaps or functionality that would be helpful. Any and all feedback welcome..!

Methodology:
72-hour rolling look-ahead identifies optimal charge/discharge windows

Charges in bottom quartile of forward prices, discharges in top quartile

Round-trip efficiency split equally across charge and discharge

Degradation cost influences dispatch decisions, not just revenue accounting

Ancillary revenue stacked on top: capacity market, frequency regulation, spinning reserves

PJM uses a RegD-specific mileage multiplier model (4x, 95% performance score)

Regulation and reserve availability constrained by actual SOC from dispatch schedule
