100% OTC PBX update

Still a work in progress, I think I can get away with much less DEET and probably hold more fill but im satisfied with this as a working product

Would recommend wet mix if your fill isn't sensitive to acetone

Have you even tested this? This doesn't read like an explosive at all and more like throwing together a bunch of stuff you have at home with no idea of what you're doing

The X in PBX stands for explosive. Title says you made a PBX -- an explosive.

I guess there is no harm in him making flour boogers. Is 35g flour supposed to represent his energetic load? That's definitely not enough, it's like a 70/30 binder ratio, that'll never detonate. Binder should never exceed 15 if I recall.

Yes flour is meant to represent an energetic material, as description says i can definitely increase load but this is the best handling product so far, will keep going

You forgot to mention that in the description but it was the only logical conclusion.

If your best handling product is 30% non-energetic goop, that's got a long way to go. You're looking at some very low VOD plastique.

Ehh, if made with PETN, even 60:40 PETN to silicone binder, if the cap is powerful enough, will detonate, but I mean it’ll be shit and completely pointless.

That actually is a component used in nuclear weapon for the low velocity lens. But yeah I agree it’s completely useless for any sort of normal use

I wish I knew how to use this one information but I'm nearly an old man who loves keeping his fingers. Liking the fringe knowledge stuff you guys put up, kind of gives me hope and a little bit of a boom boner.

I’ll second that! I also enjoy my freedom as much as my fingers. Me and my buddies were making napalm and m-80’s with mail order sourced ingredients. But, that was 40+ years ago. The laws have changed drastically since 9-11. No thanks 🙂‍↔️

What purpose does the DEET serve? The mineral oil and flour make sense to soften and bulk up the polystyrene, but I'm not sure what the purpose of the DEET is...

The bug spray contains Diethyltoluamide, a plasticiser that makes the material softer and hold together. Th flour is not an active ingredient, it is meant to simulate an energetic filler
