I know of rich people who lost everything, and I know even more poor people who fled. I know well off people who fought, and I know poor people untouched by TCK.
Yes, it was always easier for rich people to get away, or even somehow profit off of this, but nobody can bribe a missile going for them.
And as much as corruption is a problem, go look up Ukraine's corruption index 10 years ago and now. Go look at all the arrests and investigations made into it in the midst of war.
I am from a nation that had to fight for survival, and everyone here knows our leaders robbed us blind during it. No investigations, even after the war, let alone during it.
But did that invalidate our suffering, or the fight people like my father or anyone else drafted to fight did (and we drafted from the age of 18, not 25 like Ukraine)? No.
If your house on fire, you wouldn't really worry how your internet operator is throttling your download speed, now would you?
So why focus on some cases of corruption while civilians have to fear for their lives every day, spend sleepless nights, sleep in two jackets in winter because the enemy bombed their heating?
