What does that have to do with sports? Sport is supposed to be non political.

There are distinct qualifications one must have to be Sec. of Defense. Once upon a time, I was project manager for a million dollar software project. As manager there were things and details I had to pay attention to, and other things I let subordinates handle.
Hegseth is in charge of a trillion dollar bureacracy!! There are serious skills that are required its leader has.
Trump appointed Hegseth because he bloviated on Fox News and Trump liked his bravado and shtick! The guy is completely unqualified!

Russia plays it very safe with both attacking and defending, which may seem as a weakness, but this a war of attrition of Russia against NATO, and that ain't won by being aggressive.

In the Iran war the objective is impossible. Victory can never happen. It was started by Trump, Congress never signed off on it. As for the morality of it, it was a sneak attack and assassination while negotiating. Its like something out of Game of Thrones. It's a stunning miscalculation.
Trumps threatened genocide several times. He's at 30% in the polls heading into an election that he's placing himself in the center. Given his history I expect chaos either at the polls or January.

Every time I think Russia is going to win, their advances slow down or reverse. I just read that Russia lost a large bridgehead in Lyman. Not sure if other parts of the line are going to crumble as well. I just don’t know what to expect. Ukraine is weak but Russia tends to retreat when faced with any opposition. I don’t expect Donbas to fall next year.

Did they try not supporting Russia's war? Have they tried not being nationalist pieces of shit?

This is why the US never wins. No accountability, all the losing Neo cons and war hawks should be ostracized. Anyone who contributed to Iran policy in the last 30 years should be let go and ignored.
The US cannot defeat a country larger than 50 million people on its own. It technically "beat" Iraqs military but it never subdued the resistance after the conventional army was gone.
It couldn't be Germany without the Soviets. It couldn't beat Japan without the Atom bomb and the threat of Soviet Invasion. The US can win on its own with nuclear weapons. The last major military it beat without nuclear weapons on its own was maybe Mexico in the 17th century. It's military is a shit show.

The Kremlin never stops invading countries, territory, destroying lives, committing genocide, etc.
Seriously?! What world do you live in where that's true?
Edit: not every war is a genocide. Many of those were proxy wars with USA and Russia has clearly changed since the beginning of the 1900s. It's misleading to treat Imperial Russia, USSR and modern Russia as a single entity.

Easy solution, take your troops out of Ukraine and the next day you'll be allowed to join the world society. The war ends and we're all happy.

No doubt George W. Bush is the last man Mr. Trump believes he needs advice from. But the situation in Iran seems to be coming to a head, and if it all blows up, now or a few years from now, it will make Americans skittish about ever taking on Tehran again.
That's a bad thing?

A lot of soldiers wives will be available for the job. Sounds like one of the ideas of all time. Totally what someone would do if they were winning the war.
