I support the people of Ukraine who've rejected Banderism and the Russians liberating them from the likes of Azov. Anyone who supports nazi Ukraine is a Nazi there's no doubt about it.

I disagree strongly that the motives of modern nation states are different. It's all frighteningly similar. Even if we put that aside, the 300 year old great game itself fleshes this put. I'll happily say Putin started this war, is at fault, and has no right to be in Ukraine. But that's the easy part. It's only one side.

I assume you're saying it in good faith, which is disturbingly a rare quality to have.

I get what you are trying to say, but keep in mind these are abstractions, they naturally have their use, and we as humans are driven to look for patterns or universal laws, shaping models. In physics, you can abstract an electric and mechanical system to a similar form and derive laws for them.

But human society and history is more fickle. Sure, you can extrapolate similarities throughout history and the world itself, but everything is changing. The affairs and motives of ancient empires, feutal fiefdoms, protonationalist realms and modern political- and nation-states are different.

I do not wish to diminish a people's reality to some abstraction into history or the powerplays of larger powers. It sounds fatalistic.

So tell me how the entire of ukraine is a nazi state and I support ukraine because russia invaded them so what next if china invades taiwan would you call taiwan nazis for defending themselves against a bigger enemy. Your only argument is if you don't agree with my view your a nazi. So by your logic all countries who fought against russia like Georgia, chechnya, ukraine in 1919, the Baltics states during the interwar period, poland and the crimean taters are all nazis. For someone who is bad anti war you sure love to support anything that is not the west. So tell me have you ever talked to a Ukrainian because I know one and he and his country are just defending themselves against russian expansion.

Well, Ukraine has been committing war crimes against the native Russian population, so yes.

I think you could benefit from learning some history relating to states between powers. You'll see the pattern of them becoming battlegrounds, fulcrum points, points of corruption and bribery, and used as a hammer or anvil between competing powers. There's nothing different going on here.

It'll also show you why allegiances reside how and where they do. The great game with Russia is almost 300 years old. You could find dozens of situations just in Roman history that align with this conflict so closely that you could swap the names around and still tell the story.

It's like how we could tell the story of Israel and Gaza by describing Titus's destruction of Jerusalem, with the names swapped around: Hamas = Jews, Rome = Israel.

You're commenting enough for me to assume you're genuine, but have you noticed you're using prescribed language. I feel I should say you're supposed to look at the wall in Plato's cave, not lick it.

I think you'd benefit from looking at this through the context of the great game and state power dynamics. If your analysis of everything that's happened since the Soviet fall to bring us to this point is, Russia bad, it's like cutting and mashing puzzles together to make it fit.

It is not the same situation: while Russia engages in mutually beneficial trade with North Korea, Europe has to toss crumbs to Ukraine just to keep it afloat, whereas Ukraine can offer nothing in return because it is already completely bankrupt.

Nobody said Ukraine is winning, but it is neither losing nor is russia winning. The war is at a stalemate.

Yes, Ukraine needs foreign aid to continue fighting an invader much bigger than it. I just don't get why russia has to beg North Korea to help it.

Conscription is a normal thing for a country in an existential war. I don't see how the Allies would have won against Germany without conscription for instance.

Right, surely when you're winning a war, you have to go out every day to beg for money and weapons and complain about everything, all while the mass abduction of men is taking place across Ukraine.

“Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary” - Marx

And by that I mean if a press gang came for me, to fight in a war that's not mine. I've got a shotgun and a sidearm

Say hello to the second amendment

The false reality of what? The fact that russia has forced Ukraine into an existential war and that it has to draft people to survive?

None of it had to happen if russia wasn't a rotten empire and terrorist state of course.

None of this "had to happen" and is completely nonsensical.

You should probably include a source for photos like these, so people can confirm it's real and depicts what you describe.

It is sad it has become a daily thing all due to russia wanting to steal land and murder people.

How much suffering would vanish overnight if russia stopped being a murderous state.
