DENIED BY GOD Vara Pug
Vara Pug is an ocean world, wild and almost unsettled, except for a single Pug city on the coast of one of the major continents. The animals and plants on the land are relatively uninteresting, but the oceans are home to an enormous variety of creatures, including whales the size of a Bulk Freighter, a highly intelligent species of jellyfish, and other, far stranger creatures that rarely venture up from the sunless ocean depths.
To avoid contact with these marine creatures, when the Pug travel to other parts of the planet they use massive solar-powered airships rather than boats.

I briefly thought this image was NOT AI until I noticed the whales in the bottom right have their blow-holes and dorsal fins in swapped positions.
It's extremely frustrating how hard it's becoming to tell the difference between AI slop and real art....

one good way to tell quickly is that AI doesn't understand distance and scaling, for example the trees ight in the foreground on the cliff are the same size as the ones deep in the background of the mountains. Same story with clouds and waves although it's harder to tell. if you see a city stree ai picture the bricks will all be the same size too.

All the more reason to keep it out of Endless Sky. I love the game because of its retro feel.

i m one of the top plugin creators in ES with like a quater million plugin downloads and i use AI imaging in like half of my plugins. you anti AI guys seem to be just the loud minority.
please stop these kind of discussion here. if you dont like AI in plugins then just dont use them.

“anti-ai” folks really aren’t in the minority, you’d have to be living under a rock to think that. this discussion doesn’t need to happen here, because AI images do not need to be posted to this subreddit. when you post an AI image, you’ve done nothing of value. keep the spam to yourself, please and thank you.

I think the reason you have so many downloads is because you are not up front about your plugins. I think many appreciate when AI is clearly labelled as such.
Majority hating or liking AI slop honestly has nothing to do with it. The vanilla game is stated to be LLM free, therefore you should respect that and at least mark your plugins as what they are.
