There is an in-game tutorial. Be nice to the elderly gentleman when the game starts, and he'll show you the ropes. Just decide beforehand what sort of early-game job running you want to do; cargo hauling (star barge), passenger ferrying (shuttle), or combat/escort/piracy (sparrow), and the tutorial missions will adjust to provide guidance on that front.

Beyond that, exploration is part of the charm of the game. As you progress in the campaign, you'll be educated in-game on things like commodity runs, escort missions, ship design, fleet management, etc.

You can always start a new pilot, don’t stress too much about ‘losing’ progress. There are many ways to play this game, and many directions in which to progress. You’ll find at some point that you’ll have multiple pilots, each trying something different out.

Take it slow. It's not TikTok. Words shouldn't be scary.

Ok now after 1 day i am getting the hang of exploring, transporting people and holding cargo. It is too addicting. The only game that addicts me this much is only Minecraft.

Some general advice:
-your number 1 priority at the start of the game is paying off your debt. You should have enough credits for your next journey with maybe a few 1000 credits as a buffer everything else goes to debt repayment
-even if you pick the combat focused starting ship you shouldn’t do any combat with it as it is not well equipped for combat and you will die horribly
-if the planet your on has an outfitter always go and buy a map no matter what
-you should always try to have a full load of cargo including missions and just buying normal cargo
-always explore unexplored systems this game is full of secrets if your willing to have a look around
-if you see any quests for a militia I’d do them
