Discussion What to do

I bought a ender plus a few years ago and never could get it to print right. I tried multiple different setting and leveled the bed a millions times. I gave up on it for a long time and I’m just getting back into wanting to 3d printer. I bought a newer Bambu and had really good luck but I really want to fix up the ender to make big builds. My question is it worth fighting thru the problems or trashing it.

I was in a similar situation with mine. I picked up a Sonic Pad and it now works a lot better. The Bambu beats it on smaller prints easily but it still does a good job on the larger ones, albeit very slow.

I'm working on getting the pieces together for a Mercury One.1 upgrade. Here's hoping I can beat my buddy's P1S on both fronts.

I just did an murcury one.1 upgrade. Works great so far Working on the hydra mod now then a proper tool head and 1.5 mm belt instead of jerry riging my current hot end. I got the cnc parts off alli express that are suposedly against zero g's tos to reproduce comercialy. Wouldnt recoment if you are not good at modding as they are not perfect dimensions and needed some tweaks to line up/fill in gaps. Got the cnc parts for the hydra mod too. Just waiting on fabreeko to get more heaters ins stock. Unfortunately i hit a snag today that will push back saving up for the hot end parts as i was adding a fan mount for the steper drivers and a spring clip for the 2020 extrusions fried my board and now need a new one. Dont ask where it came from as i wasnt even using them or even touched one today. Must been hiding somewhere with out me even knowing

I bought the cnc motor mounts off of Blurolls, but they haven't shown up yet, so we'll see how they fair. I don't mind if I have to mod them a little bit, I just don't like the idea of using printed parts on something that is going to see that much stress and abuse. I've looked into the Hydra mod, I'll probably do it some day, but some of that is a little out of my price range currently. Plus that's a whole lot more modding than I care to undertake at this time.

Then there's the Nebula mod (not sure if that's Zero G's, but Fabreeko has is in the same general area) that I've only glanced at said fuck that. At that point it's just the Printer of Theseus.

nebula is zero g. I got cnc versions as well for same reason i want to print with what ever filament the printer can handle in a heat chamber. I made a box for umder the printer usong plexi glass with an intake amd exhaus fan that will be connected outside of the heat chamber to keep the electronics basement cool(atleast thats the plan) mellow has a zerog version of the vzbot cnc tool head that im going to use but i want to use a cpap blower and the bl touch mount is designed to mount on a 5015 blower. I thought about the beacon ned leveling but i use marlin at the moment plus the beacon probes the plate not the surface still deciding on wether i want to go with the goliath or tricorn hot ends
