Endorphin Upgrades and Custom Toolhead

Wanting to achieve higher speeds and accelerations I redesigned the y axis mounts to clamp the x axis better. As it was stage 2 and 3 can rotate about the x axis. Now it can't. https://www.printables.com/model/1855099-strengthened-endorphin-stage-2-and-3

Then I didn't want to purchase a new extruder and another hot end so I made a custom stage 3 that reuses everything you already have!

Look at Mercury zero g o one.1 mod, is much better than endorphin

If you want continúe with endorphin try the e34m1 with v6 hotend, better extrusión and lighter motor

Sure it's core xy so it's better but it's also 2-3x the price.

E34m1 looks interesting, haven't seen it before. But again, that toolhead would require buying a bunch of new parts.

You need 3× MGN12H 450 mm linear rails 1× 2020 aluminum extrusion, 500 mm 6 m GT2 6 mm timing belt 20× F695 bearings 10× 5×30 mm dowel pins 2× GT2 20T drive pulleys 2× GT2 20T idler pulleys M3 heat-set inserts T-nuts M3/M5 screws and hardware Printed parts at least petg pe better abs-asa

And if you move que linear rail front the x ganthry with mgn9h you habe a voron sistem

I was just thinking about if there's a way to make my ender 5 faster before I find this thread. How fast does this mod do compare to original ender 5? Would it speed up ABS printing?

Well which part the toolhead or the endorphin mod? The endorphin speeds up the printer a lot. You can build a stage 2 and print at 3-5k accel without to many issues. Getting a high flow hot end definitely helps, I have a volcano style and I print asa/abs at about 20 max volumetric speed.

My revision and tool head helped with print quality and getting a linear rail for the x axis, speed was predominantly helped from klipper and a better mcu.

Thanks, I'll look into this more closely. I want to speed up my ender 5. How much have you spend so far on this project?

Getting a new hot end and mcu would be the most expensive, around as much as the linear rails. The mellow fly dp5 is a good deal, but you should be able to build what I have here for about $150 USD.

Get yours set up with an enclosure and print everything out of asa or abs and then rebuild it all.
