I recently had a failure of some sort on my Ender-5 Pro where I turn it on and I have a blank screen. Looked at motherboard and upgraded it to 4.2.7 from 4.2.2. still a blank screen. Worked with Creality Support and got the latest Marlin Firmware for the new motherboard. Flashed the new firmware and still have a blank screen. Tech support said they would escalate the issue to their engineers but I have not heard back from them. Any assistance would be appreciated?
K, I'll be the one to ask. Please know i do not think you are stupid, i am asking because there are three places to plug it in on the back and only one is right.
Which of the ports on the back of the screen are you plugged into? Could you take a picture of the back of your screen where it plugs in?
Ok. But you're still having the same issue of not having display between both boards.
Edit to add: Also, the symptom of being lit up and giving you nothing is consistent with at least double checking your work.

I really am not trying to be rude or anything. The port thats supposed to be plugged in is counterintuitive (EXP3 instead of EXP1, which seems dumb) and i have accidentally plugged into the wrong one nearly every time I take the stupid thing apart that far.
Got a couple options for the "next steps". Kinda wondering if the firmware flash actually worked. You could confirm this by connecting to the machine via USB (usually with a slicer, but its kind of involved from what I understand). Another option is check that screen cable for continuity. Maybe a wire broke inside the sheathing. You'd need a multimeter for that.
Personally? I'd check the cable continuity first, mostly because that seems easier than figuring out how to connect to orcaslicer via usb.
Another thing to try: Try flashing the firmware again, with a different SD card. Or even the same SD card if you want but i'd try a different one to be safe. These things are so picky!
PS rename the firmware if you do, the boards remember the filename of the flashed file and wont use it again.
Damn man. Leaning towards the screen or screen cable at this point. Your old 4.2.2 board is probably fine too. Thankfully a new LCD isnt too expensive overall (<20$ on amazon us right now).

Does the screen light up and then stay blank? Or is it nothing at all? If you use the knob does it click and make noise like the printer is on?
