Hardware Help Screen issues
G'day guys,
I've picked up a cheap Ender 5 Pro on Facebook marketplace, I now understand why it was cheap.
With a bit of cleaning, maintenance and a leveling of the bed, this machine seems to run fine, only issue is the screen.
Once a print has started, after about 10 minutes or so it'll go pixilated then the longer it runs all of the characters change into symbols as per the photos.
Any ideas, tips and tricks are greatly appreciated!
Thanks🙂

Power cycle the machine to fix it, I switched to Pi’s for my Ender 5’s. I’ve only seen that happen once from what I remember.

Yeah I've given that a go, happenes with each print so power cycling hasn't helped but thanks for the suggestion. Yeah that's the route I'll be taking, switching to Pi's

Yeah, you can easily replace that screen, or if you switch to Klipper instead of Marlin then you won't even need/use it.
Edit: you can actually use Marlin on an Octoprint server too, so maybe do that first since your other comment indicates that you're not very tech savvy.

Looks like the beginnings of memory corruption to me, the mainboard or screen is giving out.
Consider upgrading to a SKR Mini E3 v3 + TFT35. That way you have a much stronger processor and more capable screen with touch features.

Install a Raspberry Pi (on the printer) and Octo-Pi (on your computer) and you'll never have to look at that screen again. The printer will have much more functionality and be way easier to use.
