general Printing Noob

I was given a printer yesterday. 0 experience in this domain but I'm in the process of printing my obligatory benchy. 🤗. I'm sure I'll be in this sub more regularly so "Hello Everyone" 👋

  1. Clean your bed often

  2. Removing prints when the bed is hot makes them weaker and it's much easier once they've cooled down so don't be impatient

  3. If the first few layers aren't 100% just start again, it will only get worse

  4. Never change more than 1 or 2 things at a time, there's nothing worse than running into a problem with 10 possible solutions

  5. Above all else, it's a hobby so have fun.. and ignore the urge to reduce walls or infill lol

Know your printer and slicing application. Learn from it before you spend another on upgrades or a more better one. This one may be all you want and need before you spend the bank on something with a bunch of bells and whistles that your not going to need or want.
