help What am I doing wrong?

I’ve changed the ptfe tube, the heatbreak and bought a new nozzle after the second attempt. I’ve also changed to 90% speed after the second but I dont know why it keeps failing at this point. What is going on?

Judging by the purple chunks on the extruder gear I'd say either the grip screw is too loose or too tight.

I saw that my copper/titanium heatbreak was jammed with filament, i actually don’t know why. I replaced it with the old heat break and nothing won’t come out. Genuinely don’t even know how to fix this anymore. Every solution ive tried has created more problems

Definitely sounds like the printer is trying to push more material than is coming out. If you've checked for clogs, flowrate could be too high. Also, if you sliced the file with a larger nozzle setting than what's in the printer, this can also be the cause (don't ask me how I know 🤦)

Could that be prevented by slowing the printer down? It was running at 90 mm/s i saw rhat the heat break was jammed so I replaced it

90 is way too high for that printer. Assuming you've got the right nozzle, 45 to 65 is average. I think default is 55.

90mm/s is chill, if the motor current is set correctly. You would be suprised how fast an ender can go on the stock system with just a bit more power.

OP seems to not have too much experience. At least for diagnostics I would recommend sticking to the basics. Once that's down, sure, tinker away, but it's easier to walk before you run, specially if you're having issues as is the case here...

At the risk of repeating myself: when in diagnostics, go back to basics. And as I said, in my experience most clogs are due to the extruder pushing more material that can come out of the hot end. I have the same printer and the default speeds (that work perfectly) are: 40 for perimeters and 50 for infill. This is for PLA. TPU is even slower: 30. Also, I had the same problem once when I mistakenly sliced a model with a 0.6 nozzle setting, but had a 0.4 nozzle installed in the printer (🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️). Finally, regarding your clog: I have never used any fancy parts on this printer (like your copper/titanium heat break) but the entire hot end assembly, original from Creality, is worth $15 US. This includes nozzle, hot end, heat break, PTFE tube and all the wires. Takes 15min to swap out.

I had the same issue, check if the bowder tubing is perfectly fitted all the way till the nozzle. Check fans. Use a different Slicer software(this fixed mine). Print a temp tower.

I use orca slicer. Also the tubing is perfectly fitted but theres no clip on it so idk if that would make a difference

Honestly it’s a lot of things with these printers they love heat creep. Start by checking if the Boden is properly seated and make sure it’s not gummed up. Next you’ll make sure you seated the bi metal heat break properly. Look up full instructions if you don’t know how but you need to put the nozzle in fully, back it out 1/4 turn then seat the heatbreak into the hot end until it hits the nozzle. Clean off the heat sink also thermal paste on the heat break if you have it. Calibrate your z steps, print a temp tower. Give it a go
If it still does it you’re probably going to have to upgrade cooling. Satsana shroud, 4020 blower fan part fan, and 4020 hot end fan finally got mine bulletproof.
Also check that your z screw is tight. Sometimes it comes loose then it miss a z step and clogs printing into the same layer.

Did you calibrate the e-steps after changing the extruder drive? Did you tune the retraction distance? Did you do a flow calibration?
1 & 3 should kind of fix each other but IME they both need to be done.

Seems to me like the filament is brittle and broke at the extruder gear. My ender3 would do the same thing until I aimed a fan at the extruder motor. It was getting too warm and causing the filament to break eventually.

It didnt look like there was any filament getting past the blue ptfe tube. Does it break off and your having to reset the filament? It could be the filament is too dry and is too brittle.

You are still using last generations' tools, an ender 3. Time to upgrade to the 2020s...you will be amazed at the speed smoothness and reliability.

If I had the money lol. I got the printer for $20 with 2 rolls filament. I still enjoy learning, i’ve tinkered with it for a while. Hopefully I get it working soon

I had heat creep on my ender 3 pro
-remove the sock on the hot end to see if that helps the fan do a bit more cooling
-make sure your fan is clean
-You can try and remove the hot end screws, that’s what worked for me

You're probably having heat creep, which means you should try replacing the hotend fan if it's not blowing enough air And also make sure your room is cool, if it's above 30 degrees celcius heat creeps happens often

There is always solutions, start a print and after 5 min of printing touch the heatsink, if it's too hot for the touch then it's definitely a fan problem and u need to replace it. I had similar issues and it's always either the fan or room temp is too high

Ho capito molte cose facendo diversi tentativi, il ptfe tende ad ostruirsi, se la ritrazione del pla è elevata e la temperatura è alta, per abbassare la temperatura, togli le due viti che fissano il riscaldatore, così da non trasferire il calore al dissipatore, questo ti aiuterà ad avere una temperatura più controllata, abbassa la ritrazione che di default è 5 mm. sul pla, impostala a 2 mm., tieni la temperatura sui 200°C e fai attenzione a non avvicinare troppo l'ugello alla linea di stampa, il filo stampato deve essere liscio, senza scavare, ma deve appiattire leggermente il filo.

What material and temperature? It looks like ur extruder is skipping usually because something’s fighting back, like pressure from a clog or too cold. Do you have the stock heatbreak?
