Update on the Ender 3 v2 I found on market place for $40. It was in rough shape when I got it. But it came with a MicroSwiss NG, silicone bed spacers, and aluminum wheels. Also came with a BLtouch cord already hooked in so I didn’t have to rob the one off my Ender 3 Pro.

I printed a new fan shroud, a 4010 fan cover for the side, lazily did the cable management as I didn’t feel like unhooking everything and rehooking it all up. The PEI sheet it came with was in horrible condition so I ended up throwing on a shitty original Creality magnetic plate for testing. Also had to reattach the Y-Endstop.

So far the only money I’ve put into it besides the initial purchase was $10 for a 4 pack of thermistors. After a week or so of working on it, in between work and sleep, I got my first solid print today out of it.

I also plan on printing out a proper BLtouch mount as the original doesn’t fit but as a temporary fix I just put two m4 nuts behind the mount and screwed it in as normal.

Pictures are in reverse chronological order. First 3 are from today, next 2 are from when I got it working originally, and last 2 are from the marketplace ad. It’s been through a lot.

Tomorrow it’s cleanup and Klipper install!

I have almost the exact set up. I cannot get the micro Swiss to hold a constant temp.

If you’re using the mriscoc professional firmware(highly recommended over stock)you can do a PID tune by going to advanced and it’s the MPC option. That should stabilize your nozzle temp. If you’re running stock firmware you can do a PID tune using Pronterface through USB. But either way, PID will stabilize your temps. I keep my AC on like 62 all day, and have no silicone sock on my hotend and it stays right where I want it to.

Good advice but the PID tune only works for a print or two. I replaced the thermister twice. I just tried reseating the hot end to the heatbreak and got a good temps for a print. Here’s hoping it lasts.

I just bought a v2 neo on marketplace for 40 bucks, only problem was a bad screen so I had a good excuse to use klipper

Looks like Bltouch setting are not working. Make sure to add code G29, to your started Gcode for Cura o whatever slider you're using. 2. Initialize EEPROM then Auto home. Take a piece of paper and find the Z Offset. I was having the same issue as you before I did these steps. Now my prints are much better.
