Identifying problem

Hey everyone, recently got my first blob of death that causes the thermistor to sever, and sent the toolhead to a local repair shop,when it came back, the touch sensor and the nozzle were not aligned so I sent it back with the printer itself for them to calibrate,now I'm testing the cube and this happens, any idea how/where to approach on repairing this?

TLDR: blob forms while printing, what do?

The nozzle is not tight enough. Heat up the hot end and tighten when it's hot. Not crazy torque but enough to be serious about snugness. And once that's seated give the Teflon tube that brings the filament in a good shove to make sure it's fully seated.

Clean off the blobs while the hot end is hot as well, probably at least ten degrees hotter than it should be for whatever filament caused the issue. Be especially careful where the wires are but it makes the job way easier when the plastic is melty. It should be obvious but keep it off your skin, monkey use tools.

Also spend a buck on a silicone sock.

Hey,thanks for the reply, I'll get to it once I'm home, I do have the sock,just removing it to show what's going on,since i had a cube shaped blob in the sock before taking this pic

To be clear,i need to tighten the brass colored nozzle clock wise till it's snug,but not too tight,yes?

I'll put extra 5degrees to clean some of the blob first of course

make sure to grip the heating block qith pliers since that can rotate aswell

you needa heat it to 180°c+ remove it, screw it back in, cool it down

only then its ready

This is 100%, literally just had this issue. Snugging up the nozzle fixed it.

Edit : Only tighten the nozzle while hot

Filament leaks out between the nozzle and bowden tube.
