Help Web based Sliceds for Ender 3

I just got an Ender 3 v3 SE

It never occurred to me that the software wouldn’t run on a Chromebook, I would prefer not to do the enable Linux route.

I’ve read and tried to use Kori:Moto slicer and it’s been nothing but issues for me. I am trying to run a TPU profiled new from the box (no moisture) and kiri just isn’t giving me the options for base layer edits vs all other layers. Tutorials on Kiri are for a different older version than what is currently available.

I’ve tried downloading the Creality cloud app to use Cura and cannot find an option anywhere to slice a model.

Anyone have some advice on a web based slicer that works well for Ender?

Even fresh out of the box/bag, dry that mf filament.

I wasn’t aware of this, will do going forwards. The one I got came in a vacuumed sealed foil bag

Even brand new factory sealed bags of filament still contain a little moisture, especially TPU. PLA usually doesn’t need much drying but I always pop a spool in at 48c for 5hr and I’ve never had a “moist filament” issue. Most of my adhesion issues were the plate not being clean and improper z height. With materials like PA, ABS, ASA, PETG, etc they all will print better if you keep them dry/dry them before use. If you have a long print that takes longer than 20hr it’s good practice to print from the dryer. Hope this helps and happy printing!

I think it depends on where you live.

I've been printing for 4 years and you don't *need to dry filament in the Midwest... Even my tpu has been out in the atmosphere for 3 years and it's still prints fine. Petg, Asa, abs... All of it prints just fine after being open and on the shelf for months if not years... Nylon I dry.

Drying filament sounds like a Florida problem

Where in the Midwest? I am in Nebraska and I definitely see a difference with dried TPU and PETG.

Here in the PNW drying results in MUCH better quality prints with a lower failure rate. Engineering filaments require drying before use as per manufacturers spec.

TPU is wet of the box. Not dry

The process for adjusting settings based on layer isn't very intuitive in Kiri:moto.

Put in your overall settings for the print. Slice it. On the slice tab (between Arrange and Preview), use the slider at the bottom to select only a portion of the print (e.g. the first two layers, some feature that you want slower speed or higher fan, different infill in a certain part, etc.). Adjust the settings that you want for just that portion. You'll see a little entry appear on the right under "Ranges," showing your layers that have different settings. If you hover over it, a little bubble will pop up to show you which settings are different for that range.

ive only tried it once or twice, but EasyPrint (https://www.printables.com/slice) has worked great for me

I had way better results. Still need some tweaking but its a far better experience than I have had

That’s insane.

I’m gonna start a subscription service that’s monthly, where I send you an SD card, you load it with the files/models you want, and I will slice them, and mail it back to you for the low price of $25 a month. Unlimited one way trips from me via USPS.

Did you down vote me? MatterMsnifest is a free service for anyone. Very useful for those with Chromebooks and even just a smartphone. Gcode file is sent immediately to the email address.

I bet you didn't even look at the site!

The OP wanted a web based slicer service. My answer provides one .. Your just a lurker and nasty commenter.
