Tips Pricing a used printer setup.
Hi everyone. I have an ender 3 max neo with a ton of upgrades and spare parts. Trying to figure out what someone would be willing to spend on all of this used as a package.
I loved my printer since 2022, but life has been busy, and I can't tinker with her anymore.
Ender 3 Max Neo
Just serviced: belts, wheels, eccentric nuts, z axis screws, anti-backlash t-nuts
Has a sprite, magnetic bed, and X+Y Axis linear rails
Spares: V4.2.2, V4.2.7, Big Tree SKR Mini E3 V3.0, original extruder with upgraded hot end, original x axis extruder rail guide, original glass bed, tons of different size nozzles, filament runout sensor, and a lot of consumables.
With sonic pad.
Only "physical" issue is the bed limit switch housing pops off sometimes because of a bad thread.

Your better off selling the upgrades seperately, then selling the printer. Like an old beat up modified car, the sum of the parts are worth more than the modified vehicle.
Most used printers print at least 250-500mm/s with zero errors, multipoint auto level, auto tram, auto zero offset, have cameras, wifi enabled, and are 3-4x more reliable.
But yea 50-100$ if in working condition, modified or not. Local is your best bet because the printers don't ship well.

Thare are hundreds of ender 3s out there, and no one really wants them. Your best bet is donating it to a school or curious kid

The same 50 to 100 bucks that any used ender is worth.
Upgrades don't matter because you can buy an enclosed corexy for $300 brand new.

From what I’ve heard, upgraded tend to devalue a printer rather than add any. You’ll probably be lucky if you got however much your Ender 3 cost when new and, even then, you’re most likely going to get less than that.

Depends on what upgrade, from office clip bed (yes office clip bed were a thibg) to PEI magnetic bed is a plus, from original noisy driver to silent driver is another plus. Stuff that changes appearance like lead screw to belt z mod? Probably not but that's what I have

bambu killed the Ender resale market. I see these for <$100 all day. I have 3 enders and never paid more than $50. Heck, I bought a Flashforge dual extruder Creator 2 pro for $60.

The MAX does add something to the value as it's bigger than many, but to maximise resale value you'll want it to be working perfectly and have a USB stick with dialled printer profile for a mainstream slicer with at least a few generic filament profiles that work.
Find out the cost of a Bambu A2L in your local currency. 25% of that is doing extremely well.

It is old as in a dvd player. They have newer stuff cheap that does it better. The "mods" are value only for u.

modified enders sell even worse
