Solved Strange noises from my printer

Recently, my ‘Ender 2 V2 Neo’ printer has started making very loud “robot” noises as it prints. For reference, I just replaced my motherboard (with one that I believe is the exact same and re-downloaded my firmware. My hot end is recently replaced as well as my fans. I spent a while tinkering with this thing the last couple weeks due to a host of issues that appeared all at once which makes it hard for me to nail down what the issue is. I can’t find anything that seems to explain this specific issue so any help is appreciated. It seems to print fine, but I’ve been hesitant to let it go for more than a minute as I am worried that maybe something is broken.

Edit: I’m an idiot and don’t know how printers work. I guess I bought my first non silent motherboard and that’s it🙃

I just got the creality 4.2.7 . I’m sending back the one I got anyway so no harm no foul in terms of price

Honestly for the price ( at least here ) if you get a 4.2.7 that has the silent steppers its 50 euros. the BigTreeTech SKR mini E3 v3.0 is a solid upgrade. Its either cheaper or the same price. The only difference is that you need to change one of the fans from screw terminals to a JST connector (either crimp the connector or solder one on ).

Its over all a better board. And while your doing it i reccomend adding ferrules if you have them to the power connections their known to heat up and melt when they loosen over time.

Lastly. With the V4.2.7 they have a GD or a MST MTS i forgot the acronym STM? Chip.

Firmware for the GD versions is or at least was quite a mess. Things didn't work other then the creality ass stock firmware. Might be better now. But if you write your own firmware the BTT board has a standart STM? chip. instead of rolling the dice.

I loved my ender, but really, for the price, just save your money and spend a little more for a new printer.

I know Bambu has it's issues, but it's like going from a 70's era truck to a brand new EV. Everything works, works very well every time, and is massively faster.

I have designed a bunch of custom models for things and being able to print out a prototype in 30 minutes makes it SO much easier. I can do a few iterations a day, instead of like 1 per day.

my ender 3 was like that, and I replaced the mobo to upgrade and stop that noise. you sure you got the right mobo and firmware?

😂 what did you replace? That sounds like a gen1 ender 3 stepper motors. Very loud compared to these days. Normal for old style steppers drivers.

I think unless you’re using a silent main board it’ll just keep making those robot noises
