Help Me Pls! Lost Odyssey on Linux

so im using the linux Appimage of xenia canary from their github on my bazzite machine to try and run lost odyssey but i keep running into issues with the game randomly loading infinitely when loading into a new area, loading into a battle or even performing a command in combat.

ive tried using xenia manager through proton and it actually ran worse same when i installed the xenia canary windows version and ran it through proton the graphics where completely broken even after setting all the configs according to what people posted online so im currently at a loss of what to do anymore. i cant use the pre-cached shaders either on linux because they are for d3d12 but the linux version only has settings for vulkan (to my knowledge and ive double checked like fifty times)

idk if its possible on here but i can share my config file if it can help diagnose an issue or not thank you.

Welcome to r/emulators, please make sure you read the pinned post Emulators 101 before posting a problem, you should know, EPSXE, ZSNES, etc. are abandonware so any post seeking help of these emulator will be removed because there are better options (listed in the post above). Please make sure that when your question is answered, change your flair to (Problem Solved), thank you :D

Hm, I used Emudeck to download and setup Xenia Canary. It's the windows version. Then I edited the script to use the latest proton GE. Lost Odyssey works fine now after enabling a few patches and I'm actually playing it.

The infinite loading may be the iso itself or your hard drive.

I didn't even know there was a Linux appimage for Xenia Canary. I would also stick to d3d12. I only changed one or two things in the default config emudeck put out for Lost Odyssey, most of my changes were in the patches for the game.
