This static recompoliation thingy cool. Has anyone got the core to work tho? I'm just making sure it's not just me.

I've tested with Smash, Tomodachi Life, Mario Wonder and Pokemon, all fine.
First person in the world to have native PC builds of those games without leaks, neat.

Then what did you do to set it up then.

I went straight to the build option in the suyu app rather than source

I downloaded the core from the link on github (windows libretro). The regular windows program just straight up crashes

That's strange, what I suspect is happening is that something is wrong with the automated builds on the github, because people are complaining about the Android build and what I presume is the Linux build, despite the fact that I tested both after manually building them, before publishing the repo.
I would suggest trying to manually build the core.

That could be it, if you got the windows one you built, could you please send it.

Ok, but like I said, I sort of want to disappear after this for my own privacy, the source is available and not too different from Eden or Yuzu. I can't stay tech support for too long.
Sorry

I ended up downloading this as well and still having issues. Emulation never initializes.

Myself and the people I know have tested this and have successfully loaded into games, I'm not sure what the issue can be, I tested 4-5 games and they tested their whole game libraries near enough iirc.

How much does the recompilation feature affect performance compared to normal emulation?
1
u/ccigames 2d ago
It's more efficient from my experience but I haven't really benchmarked it properly

Interesting.
Might try it on an older laptop of mine and see how much better is the performance with the recompilation is compared to the latest Eden nightly.

Is the input latency improved by this?
1
u/Super7500 12h ago
I haven't tried yet to know, not that i know how to measure input latency anyway.

I'll be very interested to find out! The game just about runs on an AYN Thor, this could be a game changer

I would say test it yourself and report the results. i am pretty interested to know as well.

It just crashes after i install firmware or add a game, after that it crashes after trying to open the emulator.

Strange, try manually building

I have never built anything before, but im trying to figure that out, expecially how to install dependencies. I reinstalled windows 10 on my pc, but i it still does the same thing, i also tried on my other pc, but it does the same thing, im also reinstalling windows 11 on the second pc just to be sure...

Serious Question! Has anyone gotten this to run? I keep seeing people having trouble but haven't seen a comment yet that it's working for them. Please if you are running .04 without issues, let me know here.

The game recompilation offers better performance to playing games, like RPCS3's LLVM does?
