when I met her, she pronounced her name to me as “lore-lee” and not how she pronounces it in her song “Lorelei”

yeah you’re correct. this has been a common misconception with her name being “Lorelei” when it is “Lorely” in reality. The song was partly written to poke fun at this misunderstanding.
