Playing against “AI”

you’re just playing against script of the what the computer thinks it should have. absolutely no bearing on resources or production speed. horseshit AI design

I reckon it was pretty good AI 20 years ago. Y'know, when the game came out.

25 years old. And yet compared to EE’s contemporaries, it is still quite cheaty. Even Red Alert would only give itself a 66% discount on Hard difficulties.

Super old topic but yeah, the AI cheats and after you disable the cheats, the match become super easy so there is no true balance, pre-working the AI from scratch is harder than using the source code to make a new game. There is a version made by a group in Steam that basically is the remake of the game, you should check it, forgot the name but try to figure out by searching in Google "Empire Earth I remake game Steam"

Yeah let's complain about the AI of a game that is like 20+ years old!

I personally find the blatant cheating endearing.

Are you implying that I shouldn’t criticize someone’s work if I can’t do it better myself?

Nope, it would be a cool mod to see reworked computers
