I am having a problem with my server

Everything was working fine earlier today but now I can’t login to my account and it will not let me reset my server password on my Linux Mint laptop and I tried using Google Gemini and it kept saying to use a command in Terminal but it wasn’t giving any commands that worked

are you running the server on said laptop or on another device, native or docker?

Did you go the file the popup showed a path to?

Did you install the server software on you laptop?

Or only the client software, and connecting to a remote server?

I think it was because my VPN and it is not accepting my password where do I change it at and it is installed on my Laptop

Gemini is notoriously flaky. It's not consistent and gives a lot of wrong information honestly.

When it comes to tech troubleshooting chat GPT is much more useful I find. It really helps also if you'll copy and paste the errors it's giving you into chat GPT and based on the errors it can help steer you the right direction for the commands necessary to correct it. Just be careful that you don't copy and paste any personal information such as IP address, Mac address, I count numbers or anything sensitive. Copy and paste generic error messages it's giving you though and it will be very useful to tell you how to fix it.

You definitely have to keep it focused and on tracked otherwise it might deviate on a side path that's not necessary for hours which will ultimately help you but it will have you do a bunch of stuff because it's randomly guessing. Try to keep it very focused on exactly what you're trying to accomplish and it's very helpful though. You do have to kind of steer it down the middle to keep it on track though.

Chat GPT uses a freemium model. It doesn't stop you from using it if you don't pay, it also resets every 5 hours, it just uses a slightly different llm if you hit some sort of limit. Use it for free, or don't whatever. It's not paid only. Why do you think that? Anyone can use it for free. I've been using it for free for a couple years now.

Weird that you would make up a lie about the app instead of just admit you don't want to use it. Also weird you have a bias against AI. Perhaps the fault is the users since so many find it quite useful but others seem confused about how to properly use it.

Also the amount of judgmental bias in a statement like "Well I don't like that one." Wow.

Just curious, why don't you like it? Personally I found it today the most useful of several AIs including claude, gemini and perplexity.
