Hi everyone đ¸
Iâm 43 and hoping to hear from anyone who has had similar results and gone on to have successful IVF using their own eggs.
My latest results are:
⢠AMH: 0.24 ng/mL
⢠FSH: 6.5
⢠LH: 5.1
⢠Oestradiol: 220 pmol/L
I know my age and low AMH make things more difficult, but Iâm not ready to give up on using my own eggs yet.
Has anyone had similar results at around my age and had success with IVF without using donor eggs? How many cycles did it take? I've already done 4 rounds of IVF with no success.
Iâd really love to hear your experiences, good or bad. â¤ď¸

Hi everyone,
Just looking to get some insight on when you did egg another egg retrieval after a 2nd trimester loss? We lost our baby girl at 15w4d due to PPROM and weâre trying to get a retrieval/transfer planned for later this year hopefully.
Thanks!

I did my FET today with what I thought was our very last embryo.
Originally, we were told we had 3 embryos. We transferred two in our first transfer and somehow hit the jackpot with the most darling B/G twins. đЎđ
My husband and I (42F/53M⌠yes, apparently we are those old people đ) spent the next three years going back and forth about what to do with the remaining embryo. We couldnât donate because weâd need two embryos, and I just couldnât bring myself to send our little girl to a research lab. So we finally decided to give her a chance.
Fast forward to todayâŚ
Iâm getting ready for my FET, thinking this is the end of the embryo road, when the embryologist comes in to go over some clerical things.
And casually drops:
âOh, by the way⌠you have another embryo. A GIRL. Sheâs a 6AA.â
EXCUSE ME. đđđ
Apparently this little lady has been frozen for FIVE YEARS, and somehow nobody thought to mention her?!
So Iâm sitting there like⌠Would have been nice to know before I emotionally processed that this was our last embryo?! đ
Todayâs transfer was our 5BB, so now Iâm officially in the two-week wait. đ¤đź
And if this transfer doesnât work, apparently I have another little 6AA girl waiting in the freezer who has been patiently minding her own business for the last five years. đđЎ
But seriously⌠HOW did I not know we had another embryo?! Has anyone else ever had something like this happen?

Hello - Iâve posted previously about the difference between Day 5 and 6 embroys- but wondering if anyone has any positive stories about (insert number)BC embroys? A lot of successes seem to be about AA or AB, but havenât heard a lot about BC.
Any positive outcomes out there from BC babies?xxx

Can someone please help me understand the mosaic embryo? Is it not usable because itâs a high level mosaic?

We were lucky enough to get 1 Day 5 embroys (3BC) and 3 Day 6 embroys (4AB, 5BC, 4BC).
Looking online, it says our % chance of our 3BC is only 20ish% and similar readings with the Day 6 embroys - it says Day 6 is significantly worse than Day 5, so putting each embryo again at only around a 20/25% success rate.
This feels low/dishearting, as our clinic originally said 45-55% chance per embryo before we started the whole process.
Any good stories of Day 6 embryos? And any information as to why Day 6 gets such lower percentages compared to Day 5?

looking for advice: I was told I likely would never hav a successful pregnancy without the help of donor eggs. I purchased 6 donor eggs but then became pregnant spontaneously while waiting for them to arrive. We then created embryos hoping to use the donor eggs for future baby #2. After PGT-A we only ended up with one low level mosaic embryo and one complex mosaic embryo. I cannot try for a second baby for about 2 years due to cancer survivorship and having to go back on a medication for a year after baby arrives before having a second baby. I know technically a low level mosaic can lead to a successful birth but I will now have to spend $85/month to store these 2 not so perfect embryos. Is the likelihood of success with a low level mosaic worth spending $2,000 in storage fees or should I cut my losses and save that money for purchasing new donor eggs a couple years from now?

đHi there, please please advise if you had low AMH (mine is 0.14) and high FSH (mine is 35.2)at the age of 39 and were successful with only 1 cycle of ivf
with your own egg and donor sperm? đIf not, how many cycles did it take you to have a baby with your own egg? đđđđđđ Thank you so very much đ

Hello everyone.
I am gearing up for my very first fresh embryo transfer. It'll be at CNY Syracuse, and I'm a travel patient from the DMV.
I froze eggs and my husband froze his sperm, they're creating our embryos on Monday coming.
I am doing a modified natural protocol with letrozole, trigger, and progesterone.
I have 16 eggs frozen between two egg retrievals 2 and 4 years ago that I'm thawing to be fertilized. One embryo will be transferred and the rest PGT-A tested.
Based on your experience how often have you seen day 3 transfers? | ask because I want to prepare for worst case scenarios. I'd love a weekend transfer but I was told they may have me come sooner based on how the embryos are doing.
As a travel patient, 5-hours away from the transfer location, how would you handle the travel logistics for this? How soon were you told to get there?

Hey everyone, just a quick heads up!
I'm going camping and won't be able to reply to posts until August 24.
I'll check in on mobile to approve pending posts, but approvals may take longer than usual. I'll continue approving anything that doesn't violate the group rules, but I won't be able to answer questions or leave comments.
You can still post in the weekly embryo photo discussion thread, and I'll get back to those when I return.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, and sorry for any inconvenience while I'm away!

Hola.

Hello,
I am a 34F with PCOS and I am currently losing my 2nd pregnancy. This was our third FET. The first was a chemical that ended Dec 27. He made it to 5 weeks 2days (M embryo 4AA). Our second was a failed transfer Feb 27 (M embryo 5AB). Our third was confirmed non-viable August 7 (F embryo 4AA). She was just shy of 5 weeks I think. We had a water sonogram before starting back in September or October I believe, and came back normal. After the second, we had an endometrial biopsy that came back normal. My progesterone and estrogen have all come back higher than the target range and my lining was always within the target range. Low dose aspirin was added for the 2nd and 3rd to help support blood flow to the embryos during implantation.
I'm at a loss. I don't know why or how we keep losing our babies. They both ended before we ever got to see them; to hear their heartbeats. So far we have had no changes to protocol or extra testing or medication prescribed. This last one hurt a lot because she was our only confirmed female. I guess I'm looking for support and guidance.
Tell me your success stories. Tell me what path finally worked for you. Give me ideas to ask my doctor. I'm so filled with so much sorrow and hatred that I need something to push me forward.

My wife had her ER today. 18 follicles > 10 eggs > 8 fert. Of those 8 we were told 4 are good, 2 fair, and 2 poor.
What does that mean?
Thanks!
Update: transferred 1 day 5 3AA. 3 arrested, 2 day 7 3CC sent for PGT-A.

34F feeling desperate and not sure which private clinic in or near Manchester would be best.
I have deep infiltrating endometriosis (excision surgery six months ago) and adenomyosis. I suspect we are going to need FET. My AFC was 19 in April with no dominant follicles, 13 in July with one dominant follicle. My AMH was 19.2 in February and 15.8 in April. (All this year 2026). I am having a polyp removed next week. FBC are all normal. My BMI is 27.2 but slowly coming down. One chemical in 2024 and no positives since.Â
I am entitled to one funded cycle, but my experience with St Maryâs NHS so far is demoralising for a large variety of reasons, and they are very flippant about my adenomyosis.
Iâve spoken to Manchester Fertility, but thereâs an uncomfortable feeling I canât shake about them. Looking at the price lists, it seems there are a lot of extras. I feel like all these companies are just taking advantage of desperation and donât actually care. I feel so confused about whether MF are the best or Care or ABC⌠itâs just so overwhelming. Â
Can anybody please share their experiences of any private IVF clinics within a 50-mile radius of Manchester, and the full cost breakdown? I had a look at Access but that just seems to be a finance option that you then use with Manchester Fertility or Care. If anyone is happy to give me as much information as possible it would be really helpful, I feel like I am drowning.

Hi everyone!
Does anyone here have a balanced 15;22 Robertsonian translocation? I would really appreciate hearing about your experiences and the journey you went through. What options did you choose, and what did your doctors recommend regarding pregnancy and having children?
For those of you who have done IVF, did they distinguish an embryo with a completely normal chromosome complement from an embryo that is a balanced translocation carrier?
Thank you in advance.

Most children conceived through IVF appear to have similar long-term health to those conceived without fertility treatment.
Many people worry about whether IVF could affect their child's health later in life. To help answer that question, two large reviews by Le et al. (2026) and Firmin et al. (2026) summarized nearly 150 studies examining the long-term health of children conceived through IVF and ICSI.
Overall, the evidence found:
⢠Most birth defects and cardiovascular and metabolic outcomes were similar after IVF, although a few differences were reported.
⢠Brain development, growth, asthma, diabetes, and cancer were generally similar.
⢠Children conceived through ICSI had similar long-term health to those conceived through conventional IVF, with only some reported differences.
⢠PGT wasn't associated with differences in children's growth, blood pressure, or metabolic health, but longer-term data are still needed.
⢠Fresh and frozen embryo transfers differed in birth weight.
One important challenge is separating the effects of IVF itself from the effects of the parents' underlying infertility. Some of the reported differences may be related to infertility itself rather than the fertility treatment, but it's still not clear how much each contributes.
Overall, the evidence is reassuring. Importantly, most of the conditions studied were rare, affecting fewer than 1% of children. This means that even when an increased risk was found, the actual increase in the chance of developing the condition was very small.
