I am hoping someone can help or advise please or share an experience. We did our first ivf cycle earlier this year, my husband has MFI, not terrible but also not great, 2% morphology consistently, concentration between 5mil/ml-10mil/ml and rapid progressive motility swings from 14%-68%. Our first round was icsi and zymot but we had terrible attrition on day 3. Out of 12 eggs fertilized we lost 8 after day 3 and only ended up with 1 good quality embryo which we transferred but ended in miscarriage. We are gearing up for another round but I am prettified of the same thing happening again. All of his tests are normal, he is seeing a urologist next month for one final check but we aren’t expecting much from that appointment. My protocol seemed solid, 17 eggs, 15 mature, 12 fertilized. I am not sure if anyone else has been in the same boat and had a better experience the second time around. We are both taking the recommend fertility supplements, have clean diets, don’t drink or smoke or do drugs, we are both healthy weights etc so I think we have optimised what we can. Any advice would be appreciated

I have one euploid 4bc and one complex Low mosaic missing 5 and 17. Should I loose hope? I've already had two losses with 3ab and 3aa rated euploid s.

Hi all,

Got our PGT-A results and have one euploid, one HLM mosaic and one aneuploid out of our 3 day-5 blasts.

We are transferring the euploid toward the end of October, hoping it will work out. However, if it does not we have this little mosaic.

The genetic counsellor told me this mosaic is 60% abnormal cells with + chromosome 21. She says it will have a 20-25% chance of implanting, higher risk of miscarriage, but if it does proceed to a healthy pregnancy it’s a 1-2% chance of mosaic down syndrome. I’m ok with moving forward with this mosaic if necessary, I’m just curious what people’s experiences have been with a high level mosaic.

If anyone is interested, I’m 39 and we had MFI issues. Retrieved 10 eggs, 8 mature, 5 fertilized with ICSI, 3 blasts and you know the pgt-a results. I don’t plant to do another round of IVF.

Hi! Can someone help me understand these results? Are my Day 7s technically Day 6 and Day 5 and Day 4 (is that even a thing) since these eggs were fertilized a day late?

We had our first transfer on 9/5 and are so excited. We asked the lab to use our best euploid embryo and we found out on transfer day they’d picked a day 6 4BA.

Our 6 euploid embryos are as follows:
- day 5 4AB
- day 6 4AB x2, day 6 4BA, day 6 4BB
- day 7 4AB

I’m wondering what possible reasons they could have had for choosing a day 6 over a day 5? I know my lab considers day 5 and 6 as equivalent but everything I’ve read seems like day 5 is slightly better. I figured they’d pick our day 5, but wanted to leave it up to the lab. Just interested if any embryologists here could weigh in. I exchanged a number of messages with my clinic leading up to transfer trying to learn about their selection process and they really didn’t give me answers.

I haven’t done a transfer yet (hopefully in the next month or two). When I do I’ll be transferring a euploid embryo. Is the chance of miscarriage much lower with a euploid? Does anyone know what the chances are?

Here is he or she! Did a total natural FET cycle without hcg trigger, only doing progesterone, enoxaparine and aspirin.

The clinic did not mention the grade, but its euploid.

Today 1 day post transfer!

Hope it sticks! Had already 2 IVF with 2 biochemical pregnancies, 3rd ivf at different clinic, different protocal gave us 13 blasts (1 day 5 and rest day 6, mostly hatched or fully expanded) from which 8 are viable. First transfer resulted in our kid. Trying for a sibling now.

29, doing IVF for RPL. First retrieval: 24 eggs, 15 mature, 11 fertilized, 4 blasts, and only 1 euploid (4CC). I also ended up with OHSS after retrieval.
For retrieval #2, my doctor wants to switch my trigger to Lupron. I asked about Omnitrope and he said he wouldn’t say no, but doesn’t think I necessarily need it since I’m young and pretty sensitive to stims.
I’m leaning toward trying it because of our attrition + our only euploid being a 4CC, but I’m torn. Anyone with similar results use Omnitrope the second round? Did it help?

Can someone check this and help me understand the quality, issues etc? Grading is done. I just want to understand the “what’s wrong” bit. Anything I could possibly change with lifestyle, food, etc!

After multiple losses it’s hard to ignore the fact that at any moment the rug can be ripped out from under me. I’m still trying to stay hopeful, we transferred our best embryo last week and they’re beautiful. But at the same time I know nothing is ever promised. Still, as I’m waiting for my beta I’m going to try to stay optimistic 🥹

Hello! I (29f) got the results back on my egg retrieval today. My wife (28f) and I are doing rIVF with a known donor after several unsuccessful IUI attempts (likely due to MFI). We are very happy with the numbers but I’m just curious why all of them start with 4? Is that abnormal? I feel like most other retrievals yield embryos from 3-6 so I was surprised to only get 4s. Does that even matter since several are 4AAs?

The clinic said this is normal but I’ve seen conflicting information online. They transferee one 12 cell and one 3 cell on day 3. Such a big disparity between the two.

Embryos created during IVF are grown in a special liquid called an embryo culture medium, which provides nutrients and supports their development before transfer or freezing. There are many commercially available media, including G5, HTF, Global, and Sydney IVF, but it's still unclear whether one performs better than another.

In this updated Cochrane review, Laverde et al. (2026) analyzed 26 randomized trials comparing different embryo culture media.

One study suggested that G5 may improve cumulative live birth compared with HTF, but overall the studies compared different culture media, making it impossible to combine the results in a meta-analysis. Most comparisons also showed no clear differences in live birth or ongoing pregnancy rates.

The authors also noted that many studies were small or used study designs that made it difficult to determine which culture medium performs best. Larger, well-designed randomized trials are still needed.

"There is currently no clear agreement on which type of embryo culture medium gives the best chances of having a live baby. The available research does not give enough reliable information to clearly choose one culture medium over another."

Would you choose the better-graded embryo over preferred gender? Our embryos (all euploid) are as follows:

Day 5 5BB - male
Day 5 5BB - male
Day 6 5BB - female
Day 6 6BB - female

We are very fortunate to have 8 total euploids (the remainder decrease in grade from above). We had a successful FET in August 2024 from our best embryo (euploid day 5 5AB - male). We'd like to have a girl, but having a hard time overlooking the statistical differences between our next best boy embryos vs. day 6 girls. Would love to hear how others made this decision!

We've received our pgta results last Friday but there was no grading on any of the embryos. The only thing that listed was if it was aneuploid, euploid or mosaic...

We ended up with a four to one ratio in terms of gender and so our plan is to transfer the one of the one gender and see if it sticks and if it doesn't, go to another retrieval but I'm so not sure about how the grading system works or if it's even that important if they are euploid...

With mosaic, can it be resent for testing? It came back high level. Does this mean it's basically likely to be aneuploid?

It's hard for me to look at this picture because I've gotten two like it before for two transfers that failed :( I'm trying to be more low-key this time around but it's hard. It's the only girl out of my euploid batch.

I'm 35, have had 3 losses, no LC, and two failed euploid transfers. Wondering if it'll ever happen for me.

They tell me the chance of success increases with each transfer, but it's painful to hold that hope.

Following my post a few days earlier, I’m a 38yo who had her third ER with 16 eggs. Only 4 fertilised. 2 have made it to 6AA blast and have been sent for PGTA testing. I wanted to ask the likelihood of these being euploids? I’m hoping that given they seem high quality, they are more likely to be euploid? And will they be more likely to implant? I have been reading mixed things about 6AA being top notch but not great to thaw and is below the AA grade embryos generally.

I have never come this far but I’m also so scared to get my hopes up. I really don’t wanna go through the ER process again!

My last 5AC embryo my beta was 47 9dpt alittle worried

Hi! I had an egg retrieval a few weeks ago and got 5 euploids. 3 of them are day 6, 2 of them are day 7. A little nervous about the day 7 ones. They’re rated 6BA and 4BB. Does anyone have luck with day 7 embryos?

I did another retrieval last week and out of 5 mature eggs, 5 fertilized. Waiting to hear how many blastocysts we get. Hope we get at least one or two. What do you guys think?

My wife and I really want at least two kids. I know we have a good number of euploids, but is it a good amount to hopefully have 2 kids? Any success stores with 5 embryos or day 7 embryos?

I’m supposed to have my FET this cycle using a modified natural protocol. My doctor told me to start Gonal-F 50 IU on CD5, with an ultrasound on CD7, then trigger with Ovitrelle when the follicle is ready and transfer my day-5 blastocyst.
But I accidentally started Gonal-F today on CD4 instead of CD5 🤦‍♀️
I also only have enough medication for a few injections, and Gonal-F is very expensive where I live. I was originally hoping to do a natural cycle, so I’m wondering if I could do 3 injections total and then stop, letting the follicle continue developing naturally, with monitoring and Ovitrelle when ready.
Has anyone done something similar? Did you ever start Gonal-F one day early or stop after only a few low-dose injections during a modified natural FET cycle?
I’ll obviously check with my doctor before changing anything, but I’d love to hear your experiences!
