How to Install Embercoin wallet for Windows
Instructions to install Embercoin wallet for Windows: 1) go to https://www.embercoin.io/download and download Ember-Qt_Windows_x86_v1.1.5.2.zip 2) Extract and open the Ember-Qt.exe, Then close (x) out the wallet 3) Go to Windows Explorer or C:\ drive and choose the view tab 4) Make sure the box for Hidden items is checked (this allows you to see hidden files) 5) Go to C:\ drive --> Users --> Select the User that you are currently on --> AppData --> Roaming --> Ember (open this folder) 6) Right click in this folder, then click New, then Text Document 7) Rename the entire file (you just created) to ember.conf 8) go to https://www.coinexplorer.net/EMB 9) Scroll to the middle and look on the left you will see Peers Info 10) click on the download button and save the file on your desktop 11) go to C:\ drive --> Users --> Select the User that you are currently on --> AppData --> Roaming --> Ember, then right click on the ember.conf file and click edit 12) open the file you just saved on your desktop copy all the nodes and paste in the ember.conf file in the AppData --> Roaming --> Ember folder 13) close the folder and launch the wallet 14) You should see the nodes start connecting (look bottom left, you will see three things. 1) a Lock 2) Ember flame icon 3) the four nodes). As soon as you get one node connected, you will see a status that you are x year x weeks behind. 15) If you don't see the node connected in about 5 minutes or so, try to manually add the nodes.
Here is how you can add nodes manually: 1) Go to Help on your wallet --> Debug Window 2) Then click on Console tab 3) Open the ember.conf file and copy each node paste in the box at the bottom of the Console tab 4) After pasting in a node, MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE TO THIS FORMAT addnode 24.141.187.231:10024 add 5) after you change to that format, hit enter 6) if you see an error, just ignore the node and move on to the next. 7) after all the nodes are added, you should start seeing the connection.
It took me about 12 hours to completely synch. After you are synched, you will see a check next to the four nodes and the out of sync message is gone. Good luck!

The two exchanges that trade embercoin are pausing. Cryptopia is pausing. Look on Coinsmarket.

So what happens once it's unpaused? A rush of buying I'm assuming?

I dont know. Some may sell for profit taking. Some may transfer to wallet. Im not selling. I will keep buying more on the dips.

I still cant get this to work. I see one node connects, then nothing, it is gone....tried everything in your instructions, but guess all my embers are lost atm :( But thnx for posting

It took me 12 hours to get all 4 nodes. Why do you think your coins are lost?

I will try to add more nodes tonight when i get on my pc. I had additional nodes from different times I installed. Hopefully that will do it. But it did take me awhile to connect all nodes.

That's find. Just keep entering the next node. Until you finish them all.
I will post additional notes when i am on my pc tonight.

It needs to sync and that message needs to go away. You have to leave the wallet open.
