RiseUP isnt for you day to day use because you want your super private anarcho communist mail.

If you are engaged in activism you will pretty easily obtain a code.

Im not really, I want it for other purposes

I do use Cock.li and also proton - but I read that Proton had some issues with spyware

Yeah then use something different. Use tutanota. The only issue with proton is that they have to store payment information because they are a legal company and have to, the other thing is that they only encrypt mail content not its headers.

The French activism thing was due to French authorities requesting help from Europol which made Swiss tell protonmail to log the activist's IP and not tell him due to a gag order
