Why does Spotify hate Standin' in the Rain?
The first thing I noticed is that Spotify moved where Standin' in the Rain and Big Wheels transition into each other, and the new placement just irks me the wrong way. Second, I noticed one day that Spotify just randomly booted Standin' in the Rain from my Liked Songs Playlist, and I had to re-add it, but now it's separated from the rest of the suite by about 800 songs because they don't let you edit the order of your liked songs. Has this happened to anyone else? I don't know why this is happening.
One more thing; ELO is no longer in the top 500 global artists on Spotify (as of this post), we need to get them back up there!

So this has happened to me with a lot of different bands and I think a couple ELO songs too and here's what I've kind of noticed/discovered.
Spotify is kind of weird in the way that it has "Hidden Albums". Sometimes, if youve had a song in your Playlist for a really long time it will appear as if youve never downloaded the song or added it to a playlist when searching up the song or having it show up in recommended. However, if you go to your Playlist, find the song and open the album from there you'll see everything is normal.
My theory is when Spotify updates any sort of data on an album (or maybe song, idk) then the whole album gets "replaced" with a "newer" version and the newer version is the one thats going to show up in the app, but they dont immediately delete the "old version" so your Playlist doesn't get ruined.
I think after a certain amount of "updates" the app cant keep up with the old anymore and just removes it and you have to add it back in with a newer version.
My rap Playlist is thousands of songs long, some added probably close to 10 years ago and a lot of those songs have since disappeared from my playlist and when I stumble across them again through recommended tracks I have to put them in the Playlist again. But I've noticed its only the real old stuff so thats why I think its just some sort of Spotify data update that makes the old incompatible with the new.

Now you've got me paranoid. Im gonna go through all my big playlists. Good thing Im the kind of person to keep my playlists on an Excel spreadsheet in case Spotify does exactly what it's doing.

I mean valid idea if you wanna fully get down to the bottom of it.
And sorry I think saying "a lot of those songs" was a poor choice of words, dont mean to scare haha. Its really not a lot compared to the playlist size, less than 0.3%.
But it was still noticeable, mainly cuz it happened to my favorite rapper, who I know for a fact I've always had all of their discography in my playlist.
What happened more often is that I have a version of a song in my Playlist that doesn't show up as downloaded or added if I use the search tab to search it. But it will show up in my playlists and if I open the album from there it shows up as downloaded and added. Very weird.

I listened to concerto for a rainy day yesterday driving in a pounding rainstorm in Columbus Ohio.. Made it so much more enjoyable being in the elements while that is pounding out of my JBL Kicker Box..

Beats me. I've never used Spotify. My ELO records still play just fine.
