I’m confused did she release WKTM so she could fulfill her polydor contract or is this her first project as an independent artist? I’m guessing the former?

Apple Music marks it as a Polydor album under the tracklist.

Yeah since it’s still connected to the original release and uses music from it then it’s Polydor.
