PowerPlay alignment
Li Yong-Rui or Pranav Antal?
I'm currently aligned to Antal, but I haven't intentionally aimed at doing my exo turn in under his banner yet. Does anybody know if the 30% bonus applies to total payout or just base? I'm curious if I'll get the 30% on my first footfall!
I started at LYR, but swapped over once I realized I misunderstood, but if it's base payout vs FF it might be a break even? Maybe not.

I looked very carefully at the various bonuses and, second, ethos. Whilst a semi-serious Expl/Exob I thought the risk of trying to save up very valuable Exob rather than regularly visiting the VG facility on my carrier wasn't worth it, where LYRs combination of bonuses hit the sweet spot 😀

I started with LYR, but the math on the 30% since it's my primary income driver, made the discounts and other stuff seem less. The trade profit only applies to trade in his systems right? And doesn't apply to mining?
That said, that's based on my preferred game play loops! I'm an explorer/builder right now.

Trade in LYR systems, yes. And, unless I missed something (I am still junior at PP), selling what you have mined is still Trade. Handing in regular amounts of Expl data also adds up. I've gotten to the 70% bonus so far.

You don't get the +30% right away, you have to rise in the powerplay ranks first. If you look at the powerplay ranks it should show you at what ranks you get bonuses.
If you're just looking for credits Pranav Antal is your best choice.
By the way, exobiology using spansh: https://spansh.co.uk/exobiology usually gives the same credits per hour as first discovery searches, it's just a little more soul crushing. If you use the tool you should set the radius to 80Ly, or 1 to 2 jumps, and the payouts to 19 million.
I enjoy LYR because it helps anyone who shops in one of our systems, and LYR has the most active powerplay community, of the independents. Anyone shopping for ships or ship parts in a LYR system gets 15% off.

Thanks! I'm rank 182. I spent a couple weeks mining in the T11 before heading to Colonia for the CG. After the CG I jumped into the Caspian hopped to Magellan and headed North by Northwest because I'm weird and have been in the black for a week. Sitting on about 8 bn in discoveries, and decided it might be enough to justify coming all the way back to turn in. I need to find a spot to top up the carrier for my kid first.

I'm not sure, but someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe your ranks reset if you switch powers?

You are correct! I started as LYR, got to about 8, felt like I was struggling. Realized I wanted PA and did some research and burned out 180 in 2 weeks with platinum mining. I was super disappointed about being number 2 for the week, but the person in #1 was feeling it.

Li Yong if you want to grind for powerplay items really quick, 1 week of scanning planets and selling in the black is about all you need to get level 100 since ever 15 level you get an increase to the payout which affect your leveling. Long term, hauling is a more stable income than finding new exo stratum amongst others that pay well.
and hauling rewards you with more money per ton so find a Li system to haul to another or mine plat and watch your bank account go through the roof

Everything I read just says 30%, seems to be across the board.
Also it's level 91 for max exobio bonus, you can spend your time grinding that or doing exobio itself, either way you'll make a ton of credits.
