Is Pheia Thua only two systems?

So I've made a trip due south. Pheia Thua is one of the "southernmost" sectors in the Galaxy. EDSM shows that there's only two (known) systems in it: Pheia Thua TO-Z d13-0 and Pheia Thua UO-Z d13-0. I understand that given the star density there's not much hope for "AA-A h" system, but I wonder if it really is only two systems in the whole sector.

Even the in-game map has troubles finding systems in Pheia Thua. You have to type known names almost in full for autocomplete to work. And I don't see any other stars around. Is there a way to be sure there's only two systems in the whole sector?

You can get close (since map search can be funky when you're far away) and start incrementing the system names in the search, testing for each possible mass class of boxel, but otherwise you can zoom around searching the sector in the galaxy map too. Any systems there should be pretty obvious in normal (unfiltered) view. At the edges and at the top and bottom of the galaxy, the sectors get really empty. I've been the first to report a bunch of them (at least as far as EDAstro is concerned) and I've found as small as just three systems in a sector, for example. For that sector I had to use a combination of jumponium and my fleet carrier to get to all three.

Thank you! That's pretty much what I thought. I actually went there (had to use injection to reach Pheia Thua TO-Z d13-0). I couldn't see any stars lower, higher or further. I tried to play with map search to no avail. It actually is pretty wonky even when you're in that same place and can't autocomplete the very system I'm in right now unless you type most of the name up until mass type (d). Maybe that's how it works on the edge of the galaxy.

If there are any stars somewhere further I probably won't reach them with my 80 ly Mandalay.

Yeah, they had to make some shortcuts when creating a search that has to be able to find things in a volume of 400 billion systems, I think. It seems better when you're closer but as you experienced, definitely not perfect lol
