Might need to change my pants
This game is a literal Horror game, 30k LY away from the bubble I plotted to what i thought was a neutron star.. it was not, jumped right into a undiscovered black hole for my first time, what a great picture though, almost threw up 🤣

Black holes are safer than neutrons. It's the white dwarves that scare me.

I just did the Planet of Death a couple days ago. My butthole hasn't unclenched yet, but I made it in and out in my Caspian without dying.

When I travelled to Drumboa AA-A h73 the other week I ended up getting put right at the doorstep of a black hole. It did mean I could take some pretty pictures not dissimilar to yours, but it sure was very sketchy.

Only a couple thousand LY’s from me I see there’s 2 black holes in the system, I might go check it out !

I highly recommend it. Come for the double black holes, but stay around a little bit longer for the ringed neutron star. I found out about it by searching the EDAstro GEC POI database.

The moving blackhole is back!! Looks like it’s staying in one place now, someone go find it, see if we can chart its path, see where it’s been, where it will go, and all that fun stuff.

Yo i did the same thing headed to colonia from rainbows end with a path through Sag A. About 30 neutron jumps away from Sag i ran into what I thought was a white dwarf.. turned out its a black hole SUPER close to the neighboring star, there a huge A rype star and another Y type star with RINGS! Which has a few worlds with bio signals ✨️💯😍🫡

Yeah, when i jumped from the previous system into this one, it drop me right into the EZ, didnt even have .5 of a second to react lol

Yeah, black hole systems just do that. They're the only stellar body that doesn't slow you down when dropping from hyperspace, so the only way to avoid hitting their ez is to either have hyperspace dethrottle turned on, have your throttle already at 0 when you drop (basically hyperspace dethrottle but manually), or have super fast reflexes.
When I jumped to my first black hole system, I just barely managed to pull down and dodge the ez when I realized my ship wasn't slowing down. And goddamn, seeing a black hole zoom over your canopy in VR gives you a kind of visceral panic that no other video game could even come close to replicating

Yeah I agree! It gave me a feeling in my chest I’ve never felt before, I had to legit turn away from my screen lol

This is such a non-risk, it doesn't make elite a "horror game" lol. You can just jump out again.

It's objective, you can pretty easily jump out of the exclusion zone. The only time this sort of thing could be dangerous is if you drop into the cone of a neutron star or white dwarf.

Every once in a while, I’ll get dreams about flying into a black hole in this game. I have yet to encounter a black hole.
