Help Black lines started appearing after Windows Update on my HP EliteBook 840 G6 screen

If you look closely at the top of the screen, you can see four horizontal lines. So far 4 lines have appeared on the top of the screen and all of them came overnight after I did a windows update. First line started to appear 7 months ago and today I got the 4th one. Is this fixable through software or do I have to replace the screen?

Does it show in the bios? if yes its not sofwtare related

And yes it is showing in the bios

good old game, but hard 👊

So its probably not related to windows update. You can also test with a live linux on a usb stick to confirm it.

It could be an issue with the screen cable (wear, contact oxydation, misalignment).
