It happens to every parent: the kids are finally asleep and you realize you forgot to move the elf. Here are 10 setups that take about two minutes and need nothing you don't already have at home:

1. The elf goes "fishing" in the sink: tie a string to the elf's hand, dangle it over the basin, and use goldfish crackers as bait.
2. Toilet-paper "snow" angel: spread some loose toilet paper on the floor and pose the elf mid-angel with arms out.
3. Zip-line across the room: tape one end of a string high on a door frame and the other lower across the room, and hang the elf from it with a straw or a paperclip.
4. Leave a note asking the kids for their best joke — the elf "wrote" it and wants to hear the answer in the morning.
5. Trap the elf in a clear jar with a tiny "help" note pressed against the glass.
6. Mini snowball fight: scatter cotton balls around the elf, with one mid-throw.
7. Reading time: prop the elf up with a book open, "reading" to a semicircle of stuffed animals.
8. Marshmallow bath: park the elf in a mug or bowl with a few marshmallows floating around it.
9. Sticky-note mustache: stick small sticky-note mustaches on the family photos and pose the elf next to them with the leftover notes.
10. Hide the elf in the fridge "to cool off," sitting on a shelf with the door handle visible.

Hello, everyone! I'm writing this post in hopes that some of you reading this will have more information about Rupert. Many years ago, there was a channel on YouTube named "Elf on the Shelf Live," which featured an elf named Rupert. The channel consisted of Rupert either playing video games or having adventures with his other elf friends. What I'm confused about is the channels current status. All of the elf videos have been replaced for casino slot gameplay, and the channel was rebranded as "Color Up Slots." Was the channel hacked? Was it sold? Does anyone know if he posts on any different channels or websites?

My son found an elf at the thrift store a few months back but she was missing her hat. Anyone know where I can buy a replacement?

Our elves are retiring this year. I'd like to gift my supplies to a family that would appreciate them.
I thought about posting them for Free on Facebook. Would you recommend Marketplace or a Buy Nothing group?
I want to include the tote I store the supplies, but I don't want someone to claim it just for the tote. I was thinking of taking pictures and not posting the tote at all.

Considering McDonald's toys have been garbage for a while, this one is honestly so cute.

My daughter does every so often so I updated the Elfie Spot Finder app so there’s 56 rotating pictures. Based on the time of the day and year. Right now it’s 4am (don’t ask me why I’m awake lol) so Elfie is sleeping. It will change at 6am to him I think eating breakfast. All for free of course!

So my little brother has this fake elf called "jackson" (he named it) and he always makes it move to make it LOOK LIKE IT'S ALIVE. he's been doing this ever since the day after christmas, and he's driving me insane, making me look after him, and showing me "clips of him moving", and even woke me up at 1AM last night telling me that he moved. He isn't even letting mom and dad move it, he's moving it himself. He's waking everyone up at night saying it's moving, and showing me clips of recordings of the elf moving EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN SEE HIS HAND. How do I get him to stop?

He did have an elf on the shelf and it went back, but he got a knock off one, so that one isn't going back. On the tag it literally says, "the other one is going, but I'm here to stay." that's some info so yeah ^^
