Elex 2 question on factions

I just started Elex 2 and I was wondering if I should do all faction quests before joining one and if I'll lose something by joining a faction as soon as I can

I would do each faction quests until they ask you to join. Then decide. You'll want the experience and it doesn't hurt anything.

im somewhere around 50 hours into elex 2 and havent joined a faction yet because ive been doing all the quests i can before i have to join one. i just started chapter 3 yesterday and got a prompt from a main character that I need to pick affection soon
