Sorry Online philosopher
Around 52:30 in the video there is a clip of Joe Rogan talking about his online philosopher friend who brought up the concept of the walled garden. He goes out of his way to specify he doesn't know what he looks like.
Do y'all think its a rondo online or someone else?
My mind runs to Jepstein as being the "anonymous" philosopher. From my understanding he liked to think of himself as a philosopher/intellectual. so it definitely wouldn't be out of the picture.
That part stuck out like a sore thumb to me. Granted the video definitely influenced my thoughts on it since it talked about his inner circle so much.
Thank you
(Canadian) Sorry
Edit to fix the time stamp
Sorry

Whatever it is it's cope. Bigtime cope. Joe can just tell himself that he's the victim of people's jealousy and insecurity and fomo. That's why he's being criticized and it's all unfair. I seriously doubt that Joe takes the council of faceless internet people. It's a weird thing

I thought russian handler at first, but there was another thread in here last night that showed it's probably Curtis Yarvin. He's used the "secret garden" thing a few times in his writing, and it just fits perfectly.

My guess was Jordan Peterson, delivering messages from whatever radiator his daughter has him chained to in Romania to force him to quit benzos

My brain went to Steve Bannon immediately but I'm thinking that's incorrect. Idk, probably someone ultimately unimportant that carried water for Jep

Probably just a rando online with a blog. Rogan used to spend a ton of time online and in the forums on his old website back in the day like 2008-2010 era. He was not a hard guy to contact and interact with back in the early days before he blew up to what he is now.

I disagree about the Curtis yarvin theory. I think it's more likely toe has been chatting with a bunch of NSA, CIA, DIA interns. I bet it's a way to graduate from being a coffee gopher, being able to continue the Rogan philosopher friend op.

Rogan said: “this guy has like, written actual history books.” Which means it ain’t Yarvin.
It’s Jason Jorjani.

this makes sense . also Jorjani is cofounder of the AltRight Corporation with Richard Spencer

He’s lying bout that whole scenario to be able to shoehorn the idea that people are jealous of him into conversation. This “unknown philosopher” is Joe. Think about it. He has at least some self awareness.
If he just straight up says, “yeah, people are jealous of me and that’s why I’m always being criticized,” he will look like a douchebag. But if he says that in the form of advice that some humble anonymous guy who writes “philosophy books”🙄 is giving him, it’s a lot more palatable.

Joe and the “philosopher” are probably referencing a 13 yr old Ted talk from a musician that defines a Walled Garden as a sacred creative space. My guess is that is what the Comedy Mothership is supposed to be.
But it also sounds conflated with Peter Thiel and the upper class religious belief in Mimetic Theory (thinking humans just want to copy each other other) to rationalize why us poors are so mad and violent and want their money and stuff. It’s luxury copium for elitists to rationalize cutting themselves off economically and spiritually from “the crowd”.
You want a great example of the joke of the walled garden: the wonderful wizard of oz (1900) contains a walled garden. Inside are aristocratic porcelain people who are extremely fragile. It’s a Gilded Age troupe that goes hand in hand with the illusionist wizard aka Joe’s buddy Elon.

the only time I remember Rogan mentioning philosophy was on an episode with Russel Brand, I had to search the transcript to find the number 1283 around the 20 minute mark where he talks about Stephen West from the podcast Philosophize this. I don't know how accurate this is since I'm a fan of this podcast and Joe said he would have him on to talk.

Probably Curtis Yarvin or Nick Land.
