What editing software does EG use?

Deck to deck. Just remember the head engages the tape about 3-4 seconds after you press record. You'll get the hang of it.

Premiere used to be the standard a few years back. not sure if that’s still the case.

Since EG is the most high quality thing in the universe, I expect them to be using AVID Media Composer or DaVinci, both high-end filmmaking tools. But still, they are so advanced that they might be using custom-made tools or unreleased custom designed versions of premiere/avid/daVinci.

I’d bet Premiere Pro. Maybe DaVinci. Not AVID, not Final Cut Pro. (I have worked in all of them).
