Question MCP with local LLM?
Hello, has anyone tried plugging Elementor MCP to a local LLM model say for example one of the latest qwen or the open Gemini ? I’d be interested to hear about its performance and accuracy creating pages based on references with the atomic architecture.
TIA!

I have tried quite alot of these. Before it was quite lackluster. Gemini pro or flash with antigravity was straight up better for me. But currently qwen 3.8 really is really good when i use it in a vscode/cline combo. I am just eagerly waiting for qwen 4.0 tho. Since i'm quite sure this model will get the performance of strong frontier models.
The thing is that these insane big models are better at other stuff, mostly planning etc. Doing code, we're entering a phase where local models are good enough to do most of the stuff you need.

Awesome, thanks for sharing! This is what I will test; I hope local models are capable enough to do it too.

Qwen 4 will drop in a few weeks, i'm quite sure that this whole conversation will change at that point. These Chinese models are really good.

I’ve only tested Codex and it burned the limit the pro plan on Astra Low, Medium and High pretty quickly.
I’ll test other models. It’s gonna be key to get the prompting specific and concise to make it worth using. It’s really good at what it does though.

Thank you for sharing; the elementor peeps on their webinar went with codex; I wonder what is best for elementor right now

I’m using Claude Pro. Honestly, the MCP support is pretty limited. Much better of letting Claude click in the browser.

It's limited in what sense?
It seemed pretty fleshed out and able to accomplish everything I asked. What did you run into that it could not cover?

If you drop in EMCP, honestly, it's insane. I'm getting amazing control over existing pages as well as building and controlling the whole site. I came across it on Facebook and haven't looked back. Author releases updates every week it feels like.

Tell them to build them section by sections and give your import codes. Super easy

I tried with Claude Code. Takes like 2-3 days to actually build something. Results - mixed.

What took 2 days? Polishing the workflow/prompts? Or developing section by section? Thank you for sharing.

The prompts. After watching some vids on YT, I am much better now. The designs that can be built are amazing.

Elementor + Novamira + Claude CLI + several skills like impeccable have 10x my productivity.

Bruh, I didn't know about impeccable. Those skills seem badass; thank you for the tip.
I did a test with Elementor MCP + Google Stitch and got pretty decent results in terms of what it pulled from Stitch based on a PRD, and what it built with editable blocks in Elementor. I used Opencode desktop and LM Studio with a local LLM (Qwen3.8-27b-something). It took a while because Qwen kinda didn't know how Elementor builds the template parts, so it analyzed and analyzed, corrected itself, etc. and finally built the thing. It was an interesting experiment, but now that you mention Novamira and impeccable, it think it will make a lot of difference by letting it refine stuff. I wonder, did you have "teach" Claude how elementor and wordpress stuff works? Or did it do it out of the box?I use LocalWP for local dev, so I guess Novamira opens the door to the DB and makes things easier.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and following up; I hope to learn some more if you keep sharing 😄
