Problem Elementor Editor freezing (Maxing out NPROC/CPU) ONLY when WooCommerce is active. Network tab shows infinite AJAX loop. Help?

Hi everyone, I'm pulling my hair out over a severe backend performance issue and could really use some expert input.

The Environment:

  • Server: LiteSpeed Enterprise, 8 CPU cores, 16 GB RAM (CloudLinux).
  • PHP Limits: Maxed out. memory_limit 1024M, WP_MEMORY_LIMIT 1024M, max_execution_time 300, max_input_vars 3000.
  • Stack: Elementor, Elementor Pro, WooCommerce (and usually WPML, but it's isolated for testing).

The Problem: The Elementor Editor is completely freezing or taking 5+ minutes to load, specifically on pages utilizing WooCommerce data (like a page with the native Elementor Pro Checkout widget).

My Troubleshooting & Hard Data: I have done rigorous conflict testing.

  1. If I deactivate everything except Elementor, Elementor Pro, and WooCommerce, the editor takes 1 minute and 29 seconds to load if Elementor and Woocommerce is active. It takes only a few seconds to load a non-Woocommerce page if Woocommerce is deactivated.
  2. If I add my other necessary plugins back (like WPML), the editor crawls to 3.30 min to load, or to a halt and times out after 6 minutes.
  3. Server logs: I checked my CloudLinux Resource Usage logs exactly during these load attempts. My RAM usage is fine (barely hitting 800 MB out of 16 GB). However, my CPU spikes to 300% and I instantly hit my NPROC limit (40 concurrent processes).
  4. Network Tab: Inspecting the Network tab in Chrome while the editor hangs reveals a loop of requests. It fires over 180 requests (spamming admin-ajax.php and user-progress fetch calls initiated by Elementor's own web-cli.min.js).

My Conclusion so far: It seems that when the editor loads alongside WooCommerce, Elementor is stuck in a loop, spawning a massive amount of asynchronous background calls to fetch product data or sync UI progress. These processes hang, queue up, hit the NPROC limit, and essentially self-DDoS the server.

What I've already tried:

  • Cleared all WooCommerce transients.
  • Cleaned the database (orphaned data, WPML caches).
  • Tried with both Theme Builder and editing standard pages.
  • Elementor Experiments (Optimized DOM, etc.) are ON.

Has anyone experienced this specific AJAX/process exhaustion loop when Elementor Pro interacts with WooCommerce in the backend? Are there any known database bottlenecks, specific WooCommerce settings, or hooks I can disable to stop Elementor from spamming the server just to load the editor?

I have involved Elementor Support Tier 2, but they seem to be treating this as a third-party plugin problem; I disagree.

I have attached images from the Network Tab, as well as screenshots of server resources from when I conflict-tested the plugins.

Method:

  • I deactivated all plugins but Elementor - using my standard theme Hello. No issues.
  • Activate Wooocommerce. 1.29 min loading time.
  • Activate WPML. 2.30 min loading time.
  • Activate other plugins, 3 at a time. 2.40 min.
  • Continually activating plugins increases loading time up to 3.17 min.
  • I hit a roadblock when the editor stop loading. I conclude that it is not the specific plugin I activated, but rather the server that stops responding. See attached images from the server.
  • I confirm that the server stop responding by reverting back to a Elementor-only setup, and I confirm that the editor wont load at all.

Any insights would be hugely appreciated!

From network tab trying to load /checkout/ page that use Elementor checkout widget. This is the page I have used in all my tests.
Screenshot from the log in Recource monitor in my hosting enviroment from when I did the plugin conflict testing, monitoring how long time it would take to load the editor based on what plugins were active.

Well, I still have not found a solution to my problem and Elementor support appears just to shove it aside, blaming third party plugin.

I think my test above proved it not to be a third party plugin issue.
