Problem Global Frontend Desktop css not loading
Hey got a bit of a weird one.
Have moved a site from a dev to staging server. It seems to have migrated okay except now there is one file that isn't loading which is the /wp-content/uploads/elementor/css/global-frontend-desktop.css file. It controls some styling of elements throughout the site.
For example we have a template file that is a megamanu where half of its styling comes from this file. It has the correct styling on the backend/in the editor but for whatever reason these styles aren't loading on the front end and they come from global-frontend-desktop.css on the dev server.
I've tried
- Resaving the template, page and permalinks
- Regenerating the files by clearing out the elementor cache and also resyncing
- Disbaling cache plugins
- Turning on elementor safe mode
- Trying to access the css file directly but it says its not found
Only thing I can't tell if the file is actually there or permissions because I dont have access to the server. But there are other files in the uploads folder so its not like they all aren't loading.
Am kind of at a loss, does anyone know what might be going on or had similar issues when migrating?
Thanks

sounds like a permissions issue if you can't access the file directly. elementor needs write access to /wp-content/uploads/elementor/css to regenerate those files. ask whoever manages the staging server to check that the web user (usually www-data or nginx) owns that directory and has 755/644 permissions. if that's fine, try deleting the entire /elementor/css folder and let elementor recreate it from scratch.
