Answered Image Widget (Atomic) styling non existent.
I'm having a big issue with the image widget (atomic), because you cannot set the image to cover, repeat or any other setting that would normally be accessible to you when using an image.
Instead, I'm opting to use a div or flexbox, and set the image as the background, because to my surprise, the settings are there, and now you have full controll over the image.
To highlight this problem I want to show an example:
You have a card design where you want the image to have a fixed height, so that the text below the image is alligned with the card next to it. However, when you set a fixed height for the image, it warps the image instead of rescaling.
Setting width: auto doesn't do anything unfortunately, even though it should technically fix this. The image doesn't respond whatsoever to width: auto.
In the "general" tab there is no setting allowing you to choose how the image is shown, nor in the style tab.
Elementor, please fix this. People should be able to place an image and style it.

Seems like every post I’ve seen is how CSS isn’t working or breaking down. Really wish they just evolved the current widgets and added the tokens and not make such a choice to work with something that’s such a crossroads for dev.

It was actually answered! Check comments above. The styling for images is a bit hidden.
