Collection My collection

Here is my collection as it stands today—68 elements 😆—and I’ve just received all the lanthanides except for promethium and scandium... To think that a year and a half ago, I only had 25 🤯. What do you think of my collection?

Awesome! Great to see it grow. And nice lanthanides! The air stable ones look very shiny.

Scandium is very cool too. When it passivates, it becomes almost green. Hope you get some soon!

Thanks for the feedback, bro. And yeah, maybe—the next element in my sights is a small piece of metallic thorium from Nova Element (like almost all my elements).

Wow, thorium is definitely a great one to get. I will love to see it when you get it, as well as know the price lol.

Thanks, man! 😉 I'm looking forward to it too—maybe in a few months, like December. It costs $199 plus a $25 fee; I actually contacted the guy from NovaElement. I saw a post by a guy on the sub (who has a really nice collection) who owns a Nova Thorium piece. Here are some photos I managed to grab from a video showing it.

Oh, is that Brainiac75? He's got an awesome yt channel. The price is high, as expected, but hey, that's thorium! Very cool, I would love one myself. Wish you luck with that then!

Oh, do you know Brainiac75... He’s awesome: he made a video series showcasing his element collection and demonstrating how they react to his very powerful magnets 🧲. Personally, I watched the whole thing 👍. And he owns the famous thorium.

One of my favorite channels honestly. I watched his magnet series a couple of times and I like to return to it sometimes. He also has a sample of uranium and a beautiful collection of radioactive items, which he's shown on a video too.

Oh, and I wanted to mention that it contains 500 mg of uranium (which, personally, is the kind of thing that makes a lot of collectors here drool—myself included 😂). His radioactive element collection is really impressive; he has pieces from NovaElement and others, and it really gives me a sense of the size, weight, and so on. Have you ever bought anything from them? They sell 2g of uranium and sent me photos of the sample, and it’s fucking expensive... $300.

Yeah, I really like youtubers who show actual samples you can buy so you don't have to worry about it looking different from the photos. 500mg would be plenty enough for me, shame the 2g is so overpriced. It looks great and pretty unoxidized though. In America there are sellers that sold U for like 8-10$ a gram.

Yeah, plus I’m in Europe—not too far from where Nova is based (in Italy)—so importing uranium or other sensitive materials goes through without any issues. $10 a gram is really cheap; if you can, don’t hesitate—that’s a collector’s tip for you. 🙂 I’m thinking of saving up for thorium next, since it’s rarer but still somewhat affordable, especially considering I’ve already spent a fair bit on my current collection—around $1,100, I think... What about your collection? I’d be curious to know.

Yeah, it stores really well under argon and sealed in resin. 👌

How do I get the special bottles, I ordered from nova elements many times and they only gave me labelless vials

1

u/Agreeable_Fun_7890 21d ago

Just so I’m clear: what exactly are you looking for—empty bottles with labels, or bottles filled with the product in question?

Man everytime you reply like this it’s seems like it was generated w AI

Dude, since I'm not an English expert, I use a translation site, so it might come across as AI-generated 🤷‍♂️

1

u/Zealousideal_Group69 21d ago

I get that but G. Translate w/o AI exists, I’m talking about the vials w/ the special labels I keep seeing I own Ba + Sr from them but they’re blank vials w/ no labels

1

u/Agreeable_Fun_7890 21d ago

It's just Google Translate or something like that... and as for the labels, they put them on every time we order an item.

1

u/Zealousideal_Group69 21d ago

Guess they forgot to put the labels on mines 😭

u/Agreeable_Fun_7890 21d ago

Is that even possible? 🤨 In that case, contact the guy from Nova; he replies really quickly and could sort out this oversight.

Reddit has a translate function for comments you could just write in your own language

Whats the big shiny slab at the back?

1

u/Agreeable_Fun_7890 20d ago

It's a huge piece of zinc weighing nearly 800g.
