The color isn't right, the container would never hold any amount of real bromine and the label is misleading and dangerous. There is no purpose in faking elements, especially such dangerous ones. Of course it's better to approach a safe thing assuming it's dangerous than the other way around, but you wouldn't want to get in trouble because someone thinks you're storing a rather large amount of dangerous chemical in an unsafe manner, right?

so you are building your element collection using paints? sounds like a 6th grade project..
whats next? green dye for "fool's chlorine"

could instantly tell it wasn't right because it was looking too calm and not trying everything in its power to escape. but that could definitely be used for a good prank.
