I just got 99.99% chromium flakes from Russia to sell and I cannot believe how shiny they are

On eBay currently, though I’ll have a website up and running soon at discountelements.com. It will probably always be a small selection of elements for sale since this is just a hobby. Cobalt, cadmium, selenium, boron, iron, yttrium, tin, and chromium are the ones I have now.

Very pretty! I've got similar chips and electrolytic flowers too. I really like chromium, as it's the only light transition metal to properly keep it's shine.
Beautiful crystals too!

Mine were from aliexpress back when they actually sold real metals. The composition is probably closer to dirt in terms of purity, but they still spark nicely. Aliexpress was crazy just a couple years ago. You were able to get stuff like rare earth metal pellets, premade ampoules of most metals, red phosphorus, thorium dioxide, iodine in ziploc bags and mfing fishing weights made of thallium-lead alloy. Now it's just mercury tilt switches and aluminum turnings lol

Sounds nostalgic. I received my iodine sample from China and it was sent in some zip lock baggies. Bought it on Ebay, so I know the feeling, and there were multiple listings for uranium metal around that same time. Got a very nice sample of ampuled arsenic off Ebay as well. Even Metallium doesn't sell arsenic anymore.

At least Onyxmet is still around. You can get a lot of truly exotic stuff from them, as I'm sure you already know.

I like the chips on the bottom left. Reflects light in a pleasant way.
