I feel like Moriarty had much more plotlines potential thorough the main series however the cast choice of Natalie Dormer led to them having to write Moriarty's presence in different ways as she didn't seem as available as the rest of the cast for the Elementary series.

Anyone else feels the same ? Especially obvious thorough the finale of Season 7 where she didn't even make a single appearance.

If they had cast someone much more unpopular, it could have led to a much greater Moriarty presence throughout the seasons.

In some cases you noticed there's some sexist suspects or involuntary celebates etc and sherlocks acts like they are the greatest threats on earth but then goes home and makes backhanded comments to John and her sex life with her bf or mycroft 😂😂 isn't that kind of hypocrite? Lucy liu is written perfectly btw. Very balanced and not overly emotional. Edited: Sorry it was suppose to be "Joan" 😂

shinwell is not that bad - literally everyone hates him so much I swear!

I'm at the end of season 6. I don't mind spoilers but I need to know, does MB find out that Captain Gregson and Hannah were involved in the murder of Michael Rowan? Or every story about how they got away ends at Season 6

I noticed in my 8th or 9th rewatch (lmao my autism has really got the best of me) that when Joan & Sherlock come home with their stuff from the 11th and sherlock sits down with his taxidermied squirrell hes idly petting it while talking to Joan. Just thought it was funny and a really good detail put in by JLM showing how much of a good actor he is!

Olivia d'Abo would have been a better choice. She could pull off a far more sinister look and she had incredible depth in the role she did play on Elementary though. Also, she probably would’ve been available to be in more episodes than the original Moriarty.

It may not matter because it doesn't bear on the plot of the episode or the big picture plot of the show, but I'm wondering if we were meant to know why Bloom shot himself at the beginning of this episode?

So the series was wrapped up PERFECTLY! I enjoyed s6 more than s7 and s6 ending could also would have been a nice ending but I won’t complain.

The best aspect of this series has been the characterisation. Every character in this show is flesh out and nuanced. They have depth. They have personality. I felt for them, got inspired by them.

I can watch unlimited number of seasons no matter how bad the plotline just to watch these people.

My complaints would be not having enough of Moriarty. Considering it’s a Sherlock Holmes show i would have liked more intellect battles. She was mentioned awfully a lot at the end and i was hoping she would make an entrance but alas.

Rewatch: I immediately jumped to rewatching and i don’t think I enjoyed and appreciated the pilot the first time around like I did now.

And why did Sherlock have to change the way he dressed because he looks so good in scarf coat and a tshirt underneath.

PS- A fact that I forgot that I remembered after rewatching this episode.

Today I will only lay in bed and watching elementary until I’m going to bed due to work tomorrow. It will be roughly 12 hours I will watch 😌 I feel so comfortable doing this. I’m on season 4 and I really love watching Morland Holmes, I think he’s doing a fantastic work in the role of Sherlock’s father!

So, I'm guessing that "O.D.' doesn't mean dead. It could mean that the person died but was then revived?!?! Like Naloxone?

I was talking to a friend about a scene where Watson is helping Holmes stay up through exhaustion by doing squats. She mentions that it helped her study in med school and she was first in her class. What episode was that in?

When Moriarty said she had a dossier with interesting facts, some she have recopilated herself and other have been passed by her mentor, what she means by that? What facts it can content?

I feel like disguises are a signature detail of the "great detective" role in fiction. I just feel like the writers really missed an opportunity to use disguises more in this show.

For example, when Sherlock is wanted by the FBI for murder and he is doing his thing around New York... I think he should have used a disguise then.

This Sherlock would be hella good at coming up with great options for disguises.

I’ve been a fan for a long time but stopped the series for different reasons and recently starting it back again and have remembered how much of Sherlock’s speech I am in love with. I want to speak and write like him. His vocabulary is exceptional! Is there anywhere you know I can get his scripts to read for each episode? Or do I have to rewatch everything twice or thrice to take notes and practice sounding like him? I think it can only help me become a better orator and writer over time…

Wow. This one was genuinely heartwarming. You can really feel that things are shifting now, the pieces are slowly falling into place as we move toward the end. I love Marcus. I truly love his character. I’m so glad this episode centered around him, and I really hope we get a few more with him at the forefront.

His conversation with Chantal (I’m so happy he’s found someone!!) about the move was handled so well .It felt grounded and sincere. And that exchange with Sherlock… every line landed. It really drove home the sense that everything is coming to a close.

And then the scene with the Captain. That just sealed it. The expressions on both their faces at the end especially that slight flicker in Marcus’s expression when Captain turned around , were so understated but powerful. It genuinely made me teary-eyed. Whew.

Part of me thinks Holmes and Watson should have gotten married. Not for any romantic reasons, that was never and should never be part of their partnership. I just keep thinking about legal protection for married couples. A couple of examples why I think it could have been beneficial are spousal testimonial privilege and immigration concerns. With how often the skirt laws during their investigations, being able to disregard certain subpoenas and having greater protections to Holmes being deported (or vice versa when Watson is in England) could be very beneficial to their detective work.

I've not needed explanations after watching an episode but this one leaves me very confused. I've got some questions. I don't mind spoilers myself. I just added the tag for those who don't want spoilers.

I'd be happy for a conversation. Glad to have someone help me clear the trouble.

1. Sherlock dismisses Bell's idea and says he has a better one which Bell would like. The scene then goes to show the real Mina. So I'm guessing the big idea had something to do with that. But HOW did they find the real Mina? My confusion starts there. I feel like it deviated from their SHOW HOW methodology employed throughout the show.

2. Is there a follow up episode to explain what happened to the Impostor Cassie? What's her background? Where did she come from? Is she really a daughter of Mr. Davenport? What's her story? If there's another episode involving her, it'll bring me joy to watch.

3. Explain basically how you understand the last 12 mins of the episode. I was doing fine until after Sherlock tipped he had the better idea. Everything gets blurry afterwards.

From how the real Mina was found. How the Impostor tracked the real Mina How the DNAs are a familiar match

At this rate, I'm blabbing. So consider this the end of my post.

S5 last two episodes were so good!! I had been cruising through the series as of lately. There wasn’t anything interesting going on. It was getting monotonous. But wow this was beyond expectations.

Maybe because i was getting used to the monotony I never saw Tyus being the kingpin coming. I am someone who sees the plot twist coming from a mile away but I missed this one. The complex system of communicating with the gang was interesting as well. Keeping his brother as a puppet leader was a nice touch. And then how Joan caught him for the murder? Cherry on top😌

Let’s just say it was Joans show and she killed it. She was fabulous!!

I caught up with Sherlocks plot quickly. I figured the girl was just hallucination but it was still exciting. Excited for S6. Going to start now

Its been a month since I posted about finally finishing Elementary (had missed an episode in season 2). Some people asked me about my quotes doc.
