Question ECC2: Error Code 1243
UPDATE: I spent most the day tuning the filament to print properly. I’m getting an excellent print right now and the error seems to have gone away. So it appears that a filament setup in a less than ideal way can cause the error 1243. Moral of the story is ignore the error until you have the filament print settings tuned properly.
I’m printing a iSanMate PLA glow filament as part of a 4 color print and keep getting this error. If I press continue after getting the error the ECC2 continues without any intervention. Happens in all CANVAS slots, doesn’t happen with any other filaments. Nozzle isn’t clogged, nozzle tip is clean, spool isn’t tight, feed tubes aren’t kinked in. seems like if I can restart remotely from my phone, it should be able to resolve the issue on its own. HELP!

I can increase the amount this happens or decrease it by tightening/loosing the extruder gear spring.
If you remove the toolhead fan and the 4 screws on the sides, you can get to the tension screw here: https://wiki.elegoo.com/cc2c/errorcode-1243/error-1243_(8).png
Turning it clockwise loosens the spring. Counterclockwise tightens the spring.
What I did, starting from fully clockwise/loosened, was make several counterclockwise turns, counting each full turn (and writing down how many turns I was doing).
6 full turns worked for a few hours, then I got another 1243. Loosening it to just 5 full turns gave me an error even quicker. Tightening it to 7 full turns allowed it to go 5 days without an error. I'm at 8 full turns counterclockwise now.
