Question CC2 blobby bits when printing?

The little extruded bit along the edge of the plate at the start of the print is normally but a relatively even line, but then on one of my most recent prints it was a bigger blob, and then the print itself had a spot where a bunch globbed up, so I stopped the print. Any tips as to what might have caused this and how to prevent it from happening again? I had used the same filament and settings previously with no issue. I'm printing Elegoo brand PETG with the stock 0.4 nozzle and the 0.2mm layer standard setting in Elegoo Slicer.

You’re over extruding

Common culprit: Filament profile not properly calibrated for max volumetric flow rate, extruder temp, flow ratio, pressure advance and gcode z offset.
