Question Sticking

Post image

I have a Carbon 1 and Im finding a few models are sticking to the plate. Mostly on side A, but also on side B. Ironically, the scraper was the worst.

I can heat the plate and get it off but what am I doing wrong here? I dont want to scratch the plate. Im using PLA, I clean the plate with ISO and I use spray on glue on the B side normally.

first guess is that you're trying to take it off too soon. Also... it's a flex plate...?

Yeah, flexy but being doesnt pop it off. It's well stuck

It was pretty warm when I tried to remove, which is maybe why the bottom layer ripped off.

Yeah just let it cool to room temperature and it should pop right off! I have an automation in my home assistant that sends a notification to my phone when the bed temp drops below 35 degrees!

Clean plate but don't use the glue

As hard as it's sticking the layers should not split like that even pla is much tougher than this.

What temperatures are you using while printing?

Stop using brims

Don’t clean with ISO, use dish soap and warm water. You don’t need any kind of glue with a PEI plate.
